Decent beginner detector as my wife wanted something to play around in the woods with. Tried to dial in using different coins and it for the most part could distinguish. Hard to gauge the depth at which it is sending a target signal though. Probably best served at a beach area where not much digging is involved and you can easily move the ground. ... show more

Nice beginner metal detector. It was easy to put together and all is working as it should. It takes a bit of experimenting to get just the right settings. I believe over time it will get better and honed in for exactly what I want to find metal wise. I did have to look at the little booklet a few times to see if I was doing the settings correctly. There are quite a bit of beeps when first starting out and it will take some time to figure out the sounds vs using the visual monitor. The set comes with a storage bag, the metal detector, headphones, and a nifty shovel that folds up. I see hours of fun with this and I don’t expect to take it too seriously.
