  • Strength and Quality for great Price
Color: Black Size: 1KG
Sunlu PLA Plus filament is a truly exceptional product that I use daily. Its outstanding build plate adhesion, superior quality, accurate color representation, and impressive strength-to-cost ratio make it a top-tier choice that I use for a multitude of 3D printing applications. I think that If you're seeking a filament that delivers consistent results, enhances the durability of your prints, and remains budget-friendly, look no further than Sunlu PLA Plus. It's a reliable workhorse that I confidently recommend and will continue to purchase for my own printing projects. I always try and buy more than one because they get used so much. ... show more

  • Reliable Filament With Great Print Quality
Color: 1kg Pla Plus Cyan Size: 1KG
Fantastic bundle of quality filament that has yet to give me any issues. I have run large prints and small prints through my Flashforge AD5X almost entirely with this bundle, and I could not be happier with it. Stringing has been almost non existent. Print quality at every scale has been great. Adhesion has not been a problem at all, and I have had zero clogs. This has been one of the most consistent and reliable PLA Plus bundles I have used. ... show more

  • I switched to Sunlu exclusively
Color: Black+white+grey+green+blue+grassgreen+b... Size: 10KG
I used to use a mix of Bambu, Creality, and some other generic brands. Didn't really have any issues with those but I have now switched to strictly Sunlu filaments. I find the colors to be more consistent for my use case. I have also not run into spool problems out of the box. I print mostly in PLA and after drying the spools beforehand I have only run into 2 problems with my prints, both probably user or setting problems. Because what I print are mostly small keychains and toys. The pricing is consistent to the market which is also an attractive point for me. So far I've used about 200 rolls, all PLA of different colors. They work in the AMS 2 Pro and regular AMS units for Bambu hardware. Pros - in my opinion this PLA is great. Good price. Consistent colors. Spools are good. Cons - they get brittle when left out of the box or dryer. Make sure to store them properly when not in use. Pretty much the same for every PLA spool from any brand. ... show more

  • Good PLA
Color: 1kg Pla Fluorescent Yellow Size: 1KG
Polylactic Acid (PLA) filament is one of the most popular materials for 3D printing, particularly among hobbyists, educators, and even professionals. Known for its ease of use and eco-friendly properties, PLA offers a wide range of benefits while presenting some limitations. Here’s an in-depth review based on my experience. Advantages of PLA Filament 1. Ease of Use PLA is often the go-to material for beginners because of its forgiving nature. It melts at relatively low temperatures (typically 190-220°C), which reduces the risk of clogging the extruder. It also adheres well to a variety of build surfaces, often without the need for a heated bed or adhesives, making it beginner-friendly. 2. Eco-Friendly PLA is derived from renewable resources like corn starch or sugarcane, making it biodegradable under industrial composting conditions. For those mindful of environmental impact, it’s a more sustainable choice compared to petroleum-based filaments like ABS. 3. Minimal Odor Unlike some filaments that release harsh fumes, PLA emits a mild, often sweet smell during printing. This makes it ideal for use in home or classroom environments where ventilation might be limited. 4. High Detail and Aesthetics PLA excels in producing fine details and smooth surfaces, making it an excellent choice for decorative items, prototypes, or models where visual appeal is the priority. It’s available in a wide variety of colors and finishes, including transparent and specialty blends like silk, marble, and metallic. 5. Compatibility PLA works well with most desktop FDM/FFF 3D printers without requiring any special modifications. This wide compatibility contributes to its popularity. Drawbacks of PLA Filament 1. Brittleness and Limited Strength While PLA has decent tensile strength, it’s more brittle than alternatives like ABS or PETG. It’s not well-suited for parts subject to mechanical stress, high impact, or flexing. 2. Heat Sensitivity PLA has a relatively low glass transition temperature (around 60°C), meaning it can warp or soften in hot environments. This makes it unsuitable for outdoor applications or parts exposed to direct sunlight. 3. Limited Durability Over time, PLA can degrade, especially in humid environments. While this might be a benefit for eco-conscious users, it limits the lifespan of parts used in functional applications. 4. Post-Processing Challenges While PLA is easy to print, post-processing can be tricky. It doesn’t sand as smoothly as ABS, and its heat sensitivity can make tasks like drilling or machining challenging. Applications of PLA Educational Projects: Ideal for classroom use due to its safety and ease of printing. Prototypes and Models: Great for visually appealing prototypes or concept models. Artistic Creations: Excellent for decorative items, sculptures, and toys. Rapid Prototyping: Good for low-stress applications where time and cost are priorities. Tips for Optimal Printing with PLA Cooling: Use active cooling (e.g., a part cooling fan) for better overhangs and sharp details. Storage: Keep PLA in a dry, sealed container with desiccants to prevent moisture absorption. Temperature Settings: Start at the manufacturer’s recommended temperature and adjust based on results. Layer Adhesion: If printing larger parts, use a heated bed (40-60°C) or adhesives for better layer bonding. Final Verdict PLA filament remains a cornerstone of 3D printing due to its user-friendliness, aesthetic appeal, and eco-conscious benefits. While it has limitations in strength, heat resistance, and durability, these shortcomings are often outweighed by its affordability and versatility, particularly for non-functional applications. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced maker, PLA is a reliable choice for many projects, and its wide variety of blends and finishes ensures there’s a PLA filament for nearly every creative vision. ... show more

  • Pretty decent work.
Color: Black Size: 1KG
It does indeed print correctly. It has decent luster, self adhesion, hasn't clogged on me, I'm not getting air bubbles, it's not all brittle, and bed adhesion is great. The re-usable spool is nifty too since you can separate it. The only issue I have is how the bed adhesion is perhaps a bit more than I'd like. What a problem to have, right? ... show more

2 projects, Pronghorn and Mule Deer. A great color, lets face it there are thousands of brands out there, packaged and wound well, did not even use my dryer and it printed both...well, 2 rolls worth...the reusable plastic roll is a benefit. • Great filament and spool design with one caveat
Color: 4kg Pla Plus Grey+grey+grey+grey Size: 4KG
Overall I think the spools are great and the filament performed well. The plastic spools worked well in the AMS with one caveat. I was a little disappointed that they use tape to hold the start of the filament so that screwed with the AMS and killed a 20 hour print. I know I can print/install a solution but I just hadn't needed to until now. I usually print polymaker ASA and those spools change over without any problems. I like the spool design (full cardboard can be finicky at times) so I would definitely recommend. But if you plan to run in an AMS and want to run one dry and auto switch to the next, this could be an issue. ... show more
