These are not cheap or inexpensive. How much is your life or safety worth? If you’re on the fence, jump off and get a set for your safety. I measured the frame height and bought the tallest set to accommodate my needs. I’ve been using heavy duty jackstands for all the work I’ve been doing. They’ve been good enough, but I always wanted extra height or workspace under the truck. I feared a failure of the standard jackstands when supporting the frame. These are heavy and heavy duty. There’s no question as to the lock feature with the pin. The height is great for what I needed.
