Our new to us motorhome no longer had an awning, so we needed everything. Christmas 2021, my husband and I bit the bullet and gave ourselves an awning from another manufacturer and dealer that cost twice as much. we received a 14 foot roller that took too much space in our garage, but waited for 9 months of backorders for brackets we never received before cancelling and getting return authorizations from that OTHER dealer. Fast forward to Christmas 2022. We decided to try to give each other an awning again for Christmas. We ordered a manual awning from Suncode on Amazon (Awning brand is Awnlux), and couldn't believe our luck when the order showed delivery in about 1 week. They also ship in 2 packages, and we did receive both in that timeframe. We liked the fact that the roller was spliced rather than having to store and lug a 14 foot one until you're ready. Figuring out installation was a little tricky, but there is a book, and a couple of videos. We found the video that's about 10 minutes long the most helpful. We have a tall motorhome, and for us it worked best to put the lower awning brackets on first, then the fabric that attaches to the motorhome on that rail, then install fabric on the roller, the roller on the upper bracket, and then release the tension clips to help raise the roller on the arms. From there you can mark and install the upper brackets. Suncode customer service was very helpful. No phone or email, but we used the Amazon seller messaging 4 times and had answers to each of our questions within one day. They reach out after you place your order to confirm the awning size and color. We responded and asked them to provide shipping information and received a message back with tracking info for both boxes. We asked for a link to the video, which they sent promptly. That was a shorter one for a good overall view of the process. We searched for manufacturer and model on YouTube and found many others. We had a technical question because our motorhome is not flatsided. They asked for pictures and we received a technical answer that we could use an aluminum standoff. We found that in our case putting a single gang aluminum electrical box and cover behind each of the top brackets was an easy fix, as the box had the right dimensions for the top bracket. We'd buy this awning and/or replacement parts from this seller again! It works well and is worth figuring out the installation for the great cost.

I got this awning for a 5th wheel and before I even opened the box I saw that they had lowered the price so I contacted them about a refund. Within days they had refunded the difference. The awning is very similar to most of the others you see available. I'm pretty sure they use the same supplier and put their name on it which is fine by me as it is constructed well. My only complaint is the instructions. They are not well written and I ended up watching Youtube videos of installations of the same awning under a different brand name and it went OK. I did most of it by myself but its a two-person job when its time to install the roller between the frames. It looks like it will last as it is very sturdy and it was machined well. All the holes and bolts were aligned properly and I didn't have any issues.

It came in two separate packages on two different days. The order confirmation was a little confusing, excpect two separate packages. It caused me some problems because I hired an RV mechanic and had to have him return a second day a week later. After installation, it does not roll all the way up; it stops winding. I have to stand at the front door and finish rolling it up. There is no way to contact customer service directly; you have to go through Amazon's messaging to do so. Apparently, they are out of China, so expect a 13-hour time difference. However, once I finally contacted someone, the customer service lady was very polite and gave me her contact number. I don't like to write negative reviews, but the fact that it does not wind up after so much work installing was the reason I decided to leave a negative review. Other than that, it looks good. UPDATE: Lydia called, and they were very sincere in helping me fix the problem. She gave me her direct contact phone number. I raised my star raing to 4.

They just need better communication. Originally I posted negative because my order was not complete. When attempted to contact, it was email only and auto reply said it may take 2 days for responce. They responded within 6 hours saying there was 2 shipments and the remaining order will arrive Thursday. They should communicate better letting customers know part of the order will be late. If I would have known, I wouldn't have started the project. I changed to 5 star because it is a good quality product.
