Wow, this hopefully is definitely a generic brand in there. Others available the very similar. This one was well priced and look good. I wanted arrived. I was surprised how heavy it is but that is a benefit. It can get very hot very quickly so be careful. The only downside is that the burner cools very slowly. if you’re using this to cook something at a low temperature for a long time that would be a benefit but if you’re simply using it to cook something at a high temperature for maybe 15 to 20 minutes it will take at least an hour for this to cool down enough to be able to handle. Heats up fast and evenly! I bought this to use with a Chinese hotpot I got for Christmas. It’s large enough to heat the whole pot quickly, but small enough to be portable should we ever want to bring it somewhere. It came with clear instructions on how to use and care for it. It heats water to a boil fast. Love that it has 6 settings. But most days I just use setting number 6 till hot than adjust to what I m cooking. Frying eggs to boiling potatoes, frying meats. It is an amazing hot plate. Wish I would have bought it soomer. I m very pleased with it. But only been using it for little over a month. AFTER reading reviews BEFORE buying I saw that they don t last long. So I bought the extended warranty.     • I don't have all night to cook my eggs
It seems to be very well made it takes forever for it to heat up and then it shuts off and the thing is when this thing shuts off it just stops cooking eventually I got it to stay on but I had to beat it with a hammer a meat tenderizing hammer actually so that it would stay on all the time I mean what a piece of junk The thing just gets up to cooking temperature and then the light goes off and it stops cooking and you got to wait like 15 minutes a minute it'll come on again and it'll shut off again really really aggravating piece of junk ... show more
