Spent a few hours outside using this to blast off a variety of surfaces around my house. Here are my takeaways: The Good: ~ It's lightweight and both the power cord and tube for the spray gun are nice and long making it easy to get around with as you work. ~ For light grime and crud it does great - the best job it did was on brick pavers behind my patio. ~ It's electric...this may seem like a "duh" thing to list, but I also have a much larger gas-operated pressure washer and it's a pain to maintain and if you don't use it often enough you have to get additives for the gasoline. With this one, you just plug it in, screw on the garden hose, and you're off to the races....no need to worry about gas...it just works. The Bad: ~ The spray coming out is NOT in a fan shape at all. If you are blasting off a particularly nasty area, you'll quickly notice that it cleans in a width and radius similar to a toothbrush - no exaggeration. This thing desperately needs an attachment on the end and for the price point, it should have been included. ~ The manual this comes with shows the spray gun as having a pressure control area to twist on the middle of the gun...there is no such area. The only thing you can twist and control is the very end of it to open or close the "fan" area (it's not a fan shape at all, as I've said) - and in my experimenting I found little to no difference whatsoever when I fiddled with this function. Overall...it's okay. If you're cleaning a lighter dirt area and then just want to keep it clean and clear in the future through "maintenance spraying", then this is fine. If you have anything with some baked-on grime or dirt that's been there a LONG time, it won't do as well and will take you a LONG time to even show middling results since the spray area is so small. ... show more

I am impressed with the great job that this little machine can deliver. It is small but powerful and great for common jobs like cleaning a walk, a shed, and removing mildew from anything sturdy enough to withstand a power wash. Changing stream levels from fan to pinpoint is easy and effective. We haven't tried it yet, but an attachment is available to add detergent. Using the softer fan spray, it will wash a vehicle like a car wash. I was able to clean years of hardened mildew from an old deck and it was surprisingly restored to the natural wood color, not grey! It came out so nice, I am going to put a clear stain on it. The machine is limited to a max of 25 feet from a power source (50' with a 25' extension cord not included) but has a long water delivery hose, so you need to plan accordingly to reach your project. It attaches easily to a common garden hose. The Sun Joe is compact and safe. My wife has enjoyed finding new projects to clean and restore. Definitely recommend this product to beginner power washers :) ... show more

I'm a short woman and this is the best one I've ever used. Other ones are sized up for larger bodies. The wand, the weight, the size of this one is perfect for my 5 ft frame. I used this to clean my siding, my porch, and my sidewalk. It is so powerful that it removed some of the paint from my porch. I plan to repaint anyway so that was just saving me some work. My sidewalk leans back at an angle so it collects slime like crazy. The water pools at my steps and turns black and slimy. It's a falling hazard that I simply can't step over with my short legs. Removing it with a scrub brush and the water hose can be done but why do it the hard way? Break out this baby and it's done!!! I've included two pix. The first one shows the dark and light section of my sidewalk. The dark is dirty and the light is clean. You can also see a clean arc to show the finest point of the nozzle. The largest spray is more than enough to wash a car. The second pic shows the paint removed from my steps. I am letting it dry thoroughly before painting because this really puts out the water. I was able to put this together very quickly and hooking it up to use it is just as simple. I only wish I had bought this years ago. It certainly would have saved me hours of scrubbing with a brush to avoid breaking out the huge machine. And to be honest, this one does a better job anyway. ... show more

I bought this washer primarily to prep my house for painting and it did the job well. I did have to get on a ladder to do the eaves since it didn't do all that well when I standing on the ground. If you don't mind climbing then this one will work but if you prefer to remain on the ground, then buy one with more pressure. Alternatively, SunJoe does offer an extension wand that should get you there. I also use this to clean my solar panels and with an extension wand it's pretty easy. Be careful More than one customer has complained about the o-ring on the end of the hose that attaches to the gun, and so am I. A 9mm OD x 5mm ID x 2mm wall thickness o-ring did the job for me. Those are available here on Amazon in a pack of 50 for less than $6. Make sure to lubricate the o-ring, I use a silicone based grease. Put some in the socket of the gun and it will reduce the friction when attaching the hose. I don't know why SunJoe didn't mention this o-ring size in their instructions and I am wondering why they didn't offer to sell us a replacement. But they will sell you a replacement hose for nearly half the cost of an entire machine. I don't care for the proprietary connector that allows you use accessories. You are forced to use SunJoe products only unless you want to Rube Goldberg your setup. ... show more

I really like how it works for being so little & economical. I’m unsure how long it’ll work though as I’ve only had it week or so. Does the job & not terribly loud. The only minor inconvenience is that the cords are super long which is nice, how ever you can’t really hang it well on the machine. Neither does the hose nicely fit in the pocket with the long cord. So storage will have to be alternative. The box plug seems to get warm/hot after 15 min use so I don’t know how to plays into the life span. For the price, it’s worth having I hope 1-3 yrs. ... show more
