    • Powerful pump worth the money, 18×54 pool must have.

I was really surprised by this pump. When it arrived I took it out of the box and immediately thought it was going to be a nightmare to install. Once I removed the old pump from our 18×54 pool the new pump easily installed in the same exact location and was simple. The original pump that came with the pool pumped about 500 gallons per hour and the new pump filters and pumps about 1500 gallons per hour. The suction on the new pump is exceptionable it cleaned the entire pool in no time. The sheer power of the stream that comes from the outlet of the pump is quite a force. The original directions states to point the outlet side(the side that water comes out) down but I recommend turning it sideways away from the inlet (the side that sucks water in) because when its pointed down it splashes so hard it splashes water out of the pool. Also when you turn it sideways it makes a nice whirl pool effect that pulls any dirt or small debris to the center for easy cleaning. I would recommend this pump to replace any manufacturers pump of the same style for the summer waves brand of pool. It is powerful enough to get the job done in the larger pools. I at first was worried that it was a little expensive or more so than maybe I thought it should be.... But once I installed it and saw it run it was well worth the money I paid for it. Thank you summer waves and polly group for making an excellent pump so far. Update: Had the pump for a while now. It still runs great just like the day i installed it. So far no problems or issues. I highly recommend this pump and in my opinion is worth buying again. Thinking of buying another one for the future just in case. ... show more

This pool pump works great for the above ground pools. This pump is bigger than the pump that comes with the pools and can circulate the large amount of water better. Once this pump was installed I didn't have green water anymore!!

This was a replacement for the pump that came with our pool. The original lasted 3 summers and I leave our pump running 24/7. I hope to get 3 years from this replacement, because I really like this skimmer pump.

The original pump that came with the Summer Waves pool failed, I ordered a larger Pump thinking this would be better stronger product for our pool. This pump only worked for one summer and it to failed the next year. When i reached out to the Polygroup company a supervisor called me back he was very nice and understanding but he stated there was nothing they could do the warranty was only good for 180 days. How disappointing and what a shame to loose a customer. My family will not have this problem next year we will spend the money and have a professional pool installed. So long Summer Waves sorry we don't do business this way we work way to hard for our money. I will be sure to share my experience with everyone I know your company is taking advantage of consumers and that is not right. ... show more

A couple of years ago our Summer Waves filter pump died and we replaced it with a sand filter pump. We learned after about a year of use with the sand filter pump, the original filter pump worked to filter the water so much better for our above ground pool. So, I began to search for a pump similar to the original one and found the exact pump on Amazon. I was so excited! And so far after a couple of weeks of use, it is working great! The seller was amazing, got it here super quick. The pump we had did 1000gal/hr which was upgraded from the 600gal/hr the pool came with. I can't say how big a difference this pump made in keeping our pool clean. At first I didn't like that it runs for 10 hrs and off for 14 but it's really all that's needed and its cleaner than the old pump running 24hrs/day Almost twice as much as the mid grade but I'm happy with the extra money spent. ... show more
