Wasn’t expecting much
Size: Sofa Color: Dark Grey
I live in a household with four kids under 10, five dogs, and three cats. Furniture simply doesn’t last for me. Couches last roughly two years before they are stained and smell horrible. Knowing this, and with the expenses related to the upcoming holiday season, I was not ready to go out and spend another $2k on a set of couches. I found this couch on Amazon and honestly wasn’t expecting much at all. After a discussion with my wife, we decided to give this couch a shot because we figured if it at least lasted us until the new year (three months), it would be worth it. The couch arrived within a week and was delivered by UPS. When we first saw the box sitting on our front porch, we were a little worried that this thing was going to be incredibly small. We took the 100lb box into our living room and opened it up. We were both immediately impressed of how they fit all the pieces of the couch in the small box. Additionally, everything was wrapped and well protected. Assembling the couch was straight forward. No tools were required, but it did take two people to put the couch together. I suppose one person could put it together, but two people will make the assembly process a lot easier, and sturdier. Assembly took about ten minutes. The first impressions of the couch were very positive. The couch was bigger then the box suggested (it’s still relatively small), the microfiber feels a lot better than what we were expecting, and the overall appearance of the couch makes it look like it cost a lot more than what we paid for it. One of the biggest surprises with this couch is the fact that the back fabric and the fabric on the bottom of the couch are secured by velcro and not staples. Unless you have messy people living in your house, you won’t understand how big of a deal this is. If the black fabric on the bottom is stapled, it is impossible to ever get all the crumbs, crayons, and other nasty garbage out of the couch that finds its way down there without ripping away the fabric. The cushions are all attached to the couch, but stuff can still fall down between the back of the couch and the bottom cushions. The couch is also relatively light and slides easily on laminate flooring. Compared to heavier couches, this makes cleaning under the couch super easy. Now instead of only moving the couch once a month to clean under it, we move it every time we clean the living room. As for how comfy the couch is, it is a bit firm, but I enjoy it. The arms of the couch do not have much padding, so a couple throw pillows will help out immensely. I am 6’1”, 165 lbs and have not problem laying on the couch. As such, it is the perfect size for me, my kids, or pets. If there is one problem with this couch, it would be that it is anything but “dark grey” on color. Honestly, after a month I still don’t know how to describe the color. It’s more of a blue, or perhaps green, depending on the light. It didn’t match the dark grey laminate flooring, but we have grown to actually like the color. In conclusion, we weren’t expecting much. We were very surprised with the quality of the couch and are in the process of acquiring the matching chairs and loveseat. For less than the price of one traditional sofa, we will have a complete living room seat. It’s amazing, actually. The only thing that would make the Harrington collection better is if they made matching ottomans for the chairs. 6 MONTH UPDATE; The kids have stained the couch with an assortment of nasty stains, but the couch itself is still holding together as good as the day we put it together. This is really something considering I have a three year old and a four year old that are constantly jumping on it. While there are stains, there are no rips in the fabric. Really impressed with this thing. ... show more

So far so good! Always skeptical to buy furniture online, I prefer to walk-in to a furniture store and actually sit on the couch. This was very easy to put together. I did it alone in 30 minutes. A bit of a challenge connecting the seat to the arm rest but, because I did it alone. It’s super firm but, that’s a good thing if you plan to sit on this often because this will most likely start to show signs of use but, with the firmness it should keep its shape longer. I will be back to update on rather or not it holds it shape. The back, well could be a little thicker or a firmer stuffing. I feel this is the area that will show signs of use first, indentation and such. The arm rests they are nice and firm and should last as long as you don’t use it to lift yourself up every time. The material inside will most likely indent. Overall this is a comfy couch. The color is very pretty, the material feels velvety but is not velvet. The black does collect lint but, easy to brush off. The one thing I don’t like, the legs you put on are really cheap feeling, they feel like plastic and I worry that they will not hold the max weight requirement over time. The size of the couch is perfect for a smaller space, their sizes were almost right on. A little short in areas, I measured but, not enough difference for me to complain. Overall I am really satisfied and happy with the quality. A good buy for the price. Buying the chair next!! ... show more

I bought the full set of three couches for my first rental home. They were all extremely easy to assemble and I finished all of them together in under an hour, the longest part was just the unpackaging. I did accidentally misalign one of the brackets, but it was an easy fix. These are very sturdy couches once assembled correctly, so if your couch is shaking then you might have missed a bracket like I did. Also, a lot of people are worried about the color, which I can agree it's a little bit of a strange blue-ish grey color when you have other greys to reference it to, but I have no problem with it. Third image from left to right is: light grey, true grey, true dark grey, and black for color reference. The couches are definitely firm but not uncomfortable at all. You get what you pay for, but I would say it's worth it if you needed furniture like I did. Also worth mentioning that I am 5ft7in and these couches were basically build for someone my size, if you are any taller or any shorter you might have a different experience with the couch than I. The couches are the perfect height and length for my body: when sitting my knees are at a perfect right angle with my feet squarely on the ground; when laying on this large couch I fit perfectly between the headrests from head to toe. At this price point (USD$268.00) I can genuinely recommend these as good couches compared to others in the budget struggle range. (I literally just moved in so excuse the empty house, the couch locations will probably change so don't come for me)... ... show more

O stars. DO NOT RECOMMEND
Size: Sofa Color: Black
I bought the loveseat and the matching sofa. Both were delivered the same day. I hired someone to put them together but was disappointed in the turnout. For one, there's 3 different faux velvet materials and shades of black on both pieces. Second, what's called the "ears" in the instruction manuals of both came with brackets that could not be attached to the sofa or loveseat because they were the same type of bracket. It's supposed to be a negative bracket that connects to a positive bracket but they are all positive. So I'll have to either go without that part of the sofa and loveseat which isn't the look we were going for, or buy additional hardware to resolve the issue. On top of this all, some of the brackets that are functional are crooked so the loveseat slants down to about 2 inches from the floor while the other side is a solid 5 inches from the floor. I used those stupid ear things to prop the lacking side up but then had to put a book on the other side to even it out. Such a freaking mess. Can't make this stuff up. We've been having a lot of issues with our Amazon orders lately so we decided it would be less hassle to just keep these rugged pieces until we can find something better versus trying to return. Reselling isn't an adoption because who the heck would buy such trash. And I'd be too embarrassed to donate to charity because no one deserves such terrible quality furniture. Also, I'm almost positive Amazon will find a reason to reject this review as they have done to a few other negative reviews with picture evidence I've done recently. ... show more

Looks OK, not for lounging. Might be OK for kids or students.
Size: Sofa Color: Dark Grey
Ordered because we needed a new couch and I didn't want to spend a grand on another couch that would only last a few years. It was $250 shipped to my door when I got 9 months ago. Assembly was pretty easy. I liked it at first because you can't sink into and it felt like it had better support than the last couch. The cushions are quite thin, so what I thought was support is more of a lack of padding. I like that the cushions don't come out and aren't deep because it's difficult to lose stuff in it, but that's about where the positives end. Decorative stitching on the cushions started falling out after several months. Thin cushions can't be fluffed (nothing to fluff inside them anyways). Not great. If you want a couch more for entertaining or just filling a space, this will do. It is not very comfy for lounging on. This isn't something to plop down on after a long day if you just want to max relaxation and zone out to a movie. I slept on it once it twice and it was OK because I like a firm mattress, but it's only about as wide as a camping cot and not a great napping couch unless you're a toddler. If you need something and you want it cheap, this will do. But after about 6-7 months my wife started hinting that we should get a new couch. After 9 months she started stealing my chair and forcing me to sit on the couch because I told her we weren't getting a new couch so soon. After a few weeks of only sitting on the couch, I am looking for a new one. Fine for kids or a spare room, but not something that will work long term for a family. ... show more

Just received my couch today after ordering it two days ago, gotta love that Prime shipping. Unfortunately I had to unbox it outside at the bottom of the stairs to my apartment and carry it piece by piece because I woke up as the UPS guy was driving off, was gonna try and tip him to help me carry it up, but oh well. I did it. Assembled it in like 20 minutes, longer than others but I like to double check everything when I'm assembling something. The cushions are very firm. I don't mind it too much but others might so just a heads up. The backrest is very soft though. It has an odd smell but that'll eventually get replaced by my smell. Luckily it arrived with no damages, and all the correct pieces. Little thing that kinda bothered me is the back of the couch is not straight like in the pictures, if you attach the velcro you can see the slant of it. Not a big deal, just different than what was pictured. It honestly feels pretty sturdy, I'm sure it wouldn't appreciate if you weigh 230lbs like me and plop down on it with all your weight but I've also rarely seen a couch that does, but I did grow up poor so maybe rich people have better couches but then again, if you're buying this couch then maybe don't compare it to rich people couches cuz that ain't you currently. Overall I'd rate it a 10/10, especially for a $550 couch marked down to $250. ... show more
