The first stud finder that I received didn't seem to work very well so I gave the product a bad review on Amazon. I tossed the stud finder in my toolbox and just accepted it as a loss. Once the company read my review they offered to give me a full refund or a replacement stud finder. I did not contact Amazon or the company that sold the product to request a refund or replacement stud finder, the company contacted me through Amazon. I opted for a replacement stud finder and the one that I received worked much better than the first one. I am pleased with my replacement stud finder and impressed with this company's customer service because they truly care about their products and making sure that the customer is completely satisfied. I recently purchased the Stud Finder Wall Scanner/Detector - 5 in 1 wall wood, metal, stud finder from Amazon. Upon receiving the unit I put it to use immediately trying to locate a stud. Not reading the directions I mistakenly operated the unit, and thusly could not find the stud that I expected to identify. Take this at heart, the unit must be calibrated prior to use each time as the directions clearly stated. Once I calibrated the unit it worked flawlessly and I’m satisfied with my purchase. I’ve always wanted a “stud finder” but thought the technology was lacking, to my surprise this unit works as described. I was able to see live wires along with wood and metal studs also. The laser leveler is an added plus and the two button simplistic operation. This is now a part of my standard tool bag and expect this to work for years to come and it matches the color of my bag and tools as an added plus. Thanks for a good product.

I had a hard time trying to find where to install the TV mount. It detects electric wires easily, but it was so difficult to detect studs. I think you can get a better one for a few more dollars. However, this one will help you anyway to facilitate the TV mount installation.
