  • Excellent antenna
I had to return this one as it was shipped with no whip. Ordered another from someone else. Antenna is simple to install. I gave it a 1/4 inch gap when installing. SWR was 1.0 Perfect. Matched with a President George FCC. I talked to a guy 75 miles away on LSB.

  • Easy to use much better than the Wilson Lil' Wil.
My receive and transmit distance were noticeably improved as soon as I plugged it in. The little blue transmit light is a bit gimmicky and, to be honest, I'm a bit worried about getting stopped at night for having a flashing blue light on my roof. I was able to get good SWR's well above and below 11m (cb) channels (I am a licensed ham). Be mindful of the screw off end on the coax. Make sure it's fully seated and tight. I didn't have it tightened when I installed it and my SWR's were high. Be sure to not bunch up the coax when routing it into your vehicle. Make sure the set screws are tight but not overly tight as to strip them. The allen wrench to tighten the set screws is included. It's small be careful not to lose it. Harbor frieght has replacements cheap. The whip is very flexible. Even with the extra height over the Lil' Wil it makes much less noise when it smacks tree limbs. I have mine mounted on top of a minivan so it sits higher than most cars. The antenna itself unscrews easily from the magnet to get into parking garages or to deter theft. Stryker also includes a "weather cap" that screws in place of the antenna should you want to leave it off with out removing the magnet. A replacement whip is around $15 should you cut it too short or in the unlikely event you bend it too much. Over all it's a good buy. A bit pricey but much better than the other magnet mounts I've tried. I have mine paired to a Stryker 94-hpc, also available on amazon. ... show more

  • Very robust built antenna
I received the antenna missing the whip so I used a whip from another antenna to try out. The whip from another antenna was 3 inches short and SWR was very high. Just to be fair to the Stryker antenna I wrapped a piece of bare copper wire at the tip of the whip to make up the length and I got very low SWR. Of course I wouldn’t want to drive around with a piece of added wire on the antenna. The SR-A10 is a very well built antenna, the magnetic mount is strong but not too strong that you can’t pull it off when you need to. I liked the detectable cable connector and it is very small and helps snake the cable through tight area. So far just very brief test on RX and TX showed the antenna was great in both. I have a very big car, Ford Excursion, with a huge roof and that provided an excellent ground radial for the antenna and help the antenna perform very well. The blue flashing light when transmitting didn’t bother me and during daytime you can’t quite notice it. I returned the antenna just after one day because of the missing whip. ... show more

  • Excellent Pairing with Stryker Radios
I replaced my Wilson 5000 CB antenna with this Stryker since I upgraded to a Stryker 655 HP ten-meter import radio. The best adjustment on the Wilson was 1.5 – 2.0 SWR using my Astatic PDC7 SWR meter. I had read most of the reviews on here before purchasing this antenna. A couple of reviews state they hooked it up, and it was perfect; no SWR adjustment was necessary. I thought to myself, I could not be so lucky. Long story short, I installed the Stryker, keyed it up, and the meter read 1.1 on channel one and 1.2 SWR on channel forty. No adjustments, WOW! As far as performance is concerned, I cannot vouch for it yet, as I just installed it. I drove into town for diesel in my pickup and got a couple of radio checks. I have an import Stryker 447 in my wife's vehicle with a short Tram antenna. She will not handle all the antenna banging through drive-throughs and tree branches. Thus far, it seems Stryker antennas pair up with their radios best. I have not looked at the cool little blue lighting that is supposed to light up when the mic is keyed. I have a half dozen popular microphones, and they do not make CB radios and mics like they used to back in the 70s and 80s. The best-performing mic I have found for both Stryker radios thus far is the Astatic D104 power mic. On an open interstate highway, I easily get a range of ten miles during the wee hours. The main reason I have a CB radio in both vehicles is when the wife and I go on a trip. I would rather talk to a long-haul trucker about anything than listen to the wife's unending yapper for hundreds of miles. 😊 ... show more
