I bought a pack of two of these antennas and I am really impressed how well this antenna picks up the signals. I thought it would work well in the 800 mhz band and it does, but it works great on Vhf and Uhf too. To my surprise it picks up well on the CB band as well. Now I use this set in the window on a metal mints can as a ground plane. I am a Ham radio operator that lives in a Aluminum sided house and have a hard time receiving radio signals inside the house, but this antenna honestly works very well with my Trunk Tracking Scanner. Now as others have said the magnet is very weak so I would not advise you to use this on a moving vehicle, but using this in a window as I am. I highly recommend this antenna and I am glad I bought the two pack. ... show more

even though the company is misrepresenting these cell phone band ant as 25-1300 Mhz scanner antennas im surprised having one outside on a window AC unit and one inside next to a window they pick up ok they should be alot better as i have had even smaller hand held Scanner Antennas work better the little Frig Magnets that are in these are a joke ... as a temp then wile i worked with the coax i placed the ant on the side of my metal AC unit .. and promptly fell off cuz the magnet isnt big enough for such a light weight Ant no way they would say on a car ... show more

Works great for vhf and uhf and fm bands. You can use outside and magnet will hold low winds or stationary vehicles. This product is very cheaply made and feels very flimsy, Scanner reception is actually better on the antenna that came with it than this antenna placed outside. The magnet that secures the antenna is not very strong at all.
