I get all the channels tv fool predicts and a lot more (see pic). The strongest signal is ABC 13, which is high V, so much for claims of no vhs…. Instructions for assembly do leave a lot to be desired, but anyone reasonably handy should not have problems putting it together. I cannot speak to range, as I am 16 miles from the tower array. I was using plastic sheet style antennas with some success. I put window film in my bedroom, not realizing it blocks signals. I was getting pixelated reception often. Btw, film can affect cell service too… I put this together, not including the mounting hardware and used a velcro strap to attach it to a vertical 2x4 right by the attic stair. Strapped it about a foot off the attic floor, pointed towards the towers about 16 miles away. I have very strong signal on all my channels. It picked up close to 140. I put 37 in a favorites list. That is more channels than my favorite list had when I had a dish… ... show more

  • A REAL antenna
Style: Yagi-Style
If you have the space/capacity, don't waste time with some other antennas claiming absurd things like a 700 mile range. UHF/VHF simply does not work at that distance. This antenna is only slightly puzzling to assemble but its not a problem. I compared this with one of those smaller antennas claiming a huge range. Same antenna, cable, tuner, and location - this antenna picked up over 100 channels where the other only found less than 50. This antenna is now mounted inside my attic providing clear and reliable signal. ... show more

  • Great Purchase
Style: Traditional
I read the reviews and for the price, I decided to try it! We previously used little portable antenna that goes in a window and are cheap! If you can pick up 10 channels your lucky! We are very rural and I hoped this antenna would work. It certainly did-40 channels! All the local Spokane channels come in great! This is only for our shop and exercise room. I would purchase again if we needed to! ... show more

  • So good we bought 2!
Style: Traditional
Let me preface by saying we have trees about 20' away all around our house. After cutting the cord a couple years ago we had purchased a couple of small sleek looking rectangular antennas to put on our tvs to get local channels in addition to our WiFi streaming. We quickly found out that they worked OKAY but seemed to pixelize quickly on bad weather or windy days. After researching we decided to try one of these and see if it made a difference. BOY DID IT EVER! Reception is great even on the rainiest cloudiest of days. We never get pixelation and our picture is as clear as it is when streaming. It worked so well on the first tv we bought another and a splitter together for 2 other tvs that are close in proximity to one another. Could not be happier with these purchases! ... show more

  • A little better than the old antenna
Style: Traditional
Finally decided to cut the cord from ATT Uverse. We already had an outdoor antenna from the days before cable. My son and I reconnected the coax from the antenna to the 4 tv's and got good reception from all the desired local stations but the PBS one, located further away, on the tv with the shortest run. The ABC station did pixelate now and again. TV's with the longer runs of coax got only intermittent signal from the ABC local station and no NPT. All all stations are between 15 and 30 miles away with a ridge between us. All are in the same direction from us. Reorienting the old antenna gave minimal improvement. We hoped the newer one would be better at picking up a directional signal. The nearest tv to the antenna will now get NPT most of the time and the ABC station all of the time. The tv's with longer runs are also better but are still intermittent with ABC and NPT. Assembly was easy enough and we already had a mast bolted to a chimney. I consider it worth the money. At the same time I stopped ATT voip and got an Ooma which is working well. I'm now deciding what streaming services best fit our needs. With the $300/month reduction in cable and phone cost, I've quite a bit to play with. ... show more

  • This antenna did the trick, works like I expected
Style: Yagi-Style
I live about ten miles out from the city, the transmitters are located downtown. I figured a little stubby antenna would be fine. It got some channels but not all, it especially had trouble with the lower frequencies. I then tried a little amplified tower antenna that claimed something like 200 mile coverage. It was worse than the little stubby one. I then decided to go old school and get a real antenna, so I bought this GE one. I put it in the attic, ran 100 feet of coax cable down to my TV, and it picks up every single channel available with no issues. The assembly was a little hard to understand, the booklet is small and the pictures aren't very good. But overall this is a good choice if you are fairly close to the transmitters you are trying to get a signal from. I'd probably get a much larger antenna if I was in a rural area. ... show more

  • An improvement from our prior antenna
Style: Traditional
I decided to replace our prior antenna when we started losing signal more often. This one was mostly easy to assemble and install. My wife doesn't care for the look of it on the house as much as the other, which was smaller and entirely enclosed in a dark green plastic. I would recommend this antenna to others. It gets all of the local stations that I was expecting, plus one additional. ... show more

  • Better than I expected.
Style: Traditional
I had one of those plastic panel antennas that hardly picked up anything. I have streaming TV and our Vegas Golden Knights will be on over-the-air TV since AT&T dumped their regional sports. I decided to try this antenna and boy did it work great! I don't know how many channels I picked up but there is a lot! Great picture too! Very pleased with this purchase. There is a device called Tablo that I am waiting on. This will allow me to get broadcast TV on all the TVs in the house over the wifi and will serve as a DVR for OTH TV. Spent $150 for everything...Well worth it! The assembly and install are a bit involved. If you're not mechanically inclined, you may want to hire a handyman. I just followed the instructions and all went well. Took me about 2½ hours for everything but I also used existing cable from the old satellite dish. You will need to make sure the cable has a ground wire as well. ... show more
