Made for enhanced high-definition reception, the Pro Outdoor/Attic Mount Antenna optimizes your free digital channels in full 1080p HD. The GE Outdoor/Attic Mount Antenna is the perfect counterpart to streaming digital content, helping you eliminate pricey cable and satellite services for good! Compatible with all television brands, the Pro Outdoor/Attic Mount Antenna works within 70 miles of the broadcast source and is 4K Ultra HD capable. Note: Antenna reception range is based on a line of sight signal path from the TV broadcast towers to your home. Multiple factors can limit reception range at your location. Some of these are mountainous and hilly terrain, obstructions in the signal path and metal construction materials. Position your antenna towards the broadcast towers for best performance.

  • Great Value In a Surprising Compact Antenna
Antenna was well packaged and arrived in good condition. Lots of parts that need assembly, but take your time. It's not hard, but the instructions are not very detailed and the parts are not specifically indicated in the instructions, so you have to figure it out. There is a video that is helpful, but actually leaves some of the washers out, and if you follow the video you will have left over washers. Just know that there are no extra parts in the parts bag. The straight antenna aluminum tubs that insert into the main frame of the antenna seem very tight as the center of the tube nears the frame. Look closely, and you will see the antenna tube is crimped in the middle. The hole on both sides of the frame appear oval in shape, and the aluminum tube needs to be rotated slightly to align with the frame (the crimped part of the aluminum tube with the oval hole in the frame). Push the antenna tube through the hole and out the other side until the tube is centered in the frame. Then turn the tube a quarter turn to lock it in place. There are twelve of these tubes so take your time, and make sure all of the tubes ends are aligned. The other aluminum antenna parts are easy to attach with screws provided. Attach the stepped mount to the antenna frame and insert the U-bolt and screw on the wing nuts. Assemble the pole and base with the two remaining long screws with washers and nuts. Use the two bottom holes if you need to rotate the mounting pole. My antenna is mounted in my attic to a 2x4 cross support. The mounting plate is more than 4 inches long so I used stainless steel cable ties which you can see in the pictures. I used two 12 inch cable ties together on each side for the attachment, and used a cable tie gun to tighten them up. I pointed the antenna in the general direction of my two VHF local channels ABC & CBS which are 36 degrees apart and the reception is excellent. All my other channels are UHF and they are spread over an additional 51 degrees to the north, and again the reception is excellent. Altogether I am receiving 38 channels, which includes all major networks ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and PBS. The GE antenna is a passive antenna, so I added the RCA Digital Signal Amplifier for $33.15. The GE Antenna was reasonably priced at $38.98 and gets excellent reception with amplifier. Also make sure you are using at least RG6 coaxial cable. I had a section of RG59 cable that some cable installers had used years ago which I had to locate and replace because the reception was poor. I started to blame it on the antenna until I checked the cables and found the problem. Would highly recommend the GE Antenna and the RCA Amplifier because of thew reasonable cost and the great outcome. This antenna replaced a $90.00 ChannelMaster Flat antenna with an amplifier built-in that just quit working after two years. Very satisfied with this package. ... show more

  • Exactly what you need at a reasonable price for OTA TV
Easy to assemble, good install options. I had been using a very basic omnidirectional indoor unit and started having signal quality issues. As soon as I put this in place, I had perfect signal strength and quality and no more issues. Using this with a HD Homerun tuner which I use through a plex server which also acts as a DVR. No regrets on this purchase! ... show more

  • Great solution for elderly family member. works well! horrible instructions however.
Over the past year or so, my 77 y.o. elderly mother has been starting to struggle with dementia. she has gotten to the point that she normally only watches 2-3 channels max. She was using directv and we were getting frustrated with it going out frequently. I have an outdoor HDTV antenna that i put up around 2018 or so, and haven't had any issues. I figured i would order this, along with a pre-amp because we are about 62 miles from the broadcast towers. (rural area). i put this in the attic, pointed towards the broadcast towers, hooked up the pre-amp and ran the cable. immediately, received around 20 channels! Channels even worked during rain/wind/ and cloud cover. the included instructions are horrible, so you will have to go over to youtube for videos to show you how to assemble this antenna. been using it for a couple weeks with no issues. main part is plastic, so i'm not very confident it would last very long outside, however the documentation seems to hint that it's been designed for outdoor mounting, i just personally wouldn't do it. you can get coax cable, and the pre-amp here on amazon. i used a RCA brand preamp, i have one personally and it works well with my channel master antenna. it's completely ridiculous to pay 100.00 a month and up for TV service. best thing about this, it's a one time expense (cost of antenna/cable/pre-amp) and your done! never have to pay for it again. cons are you lose your dvr and so forth, but the cost savings far outweigh the negatives. go ahead and order this one, it worked out great for us! reception will vary of course (depending on terrain and how high up the antenna is mounted). side note, i contacted our local cable tv provider for a quote for cable/DVR service for 2 rooms. i was quoted around $170.00 a month. current base package with directv (2 rooms and dvr) was costing $110.00 a month. pretty much a no-brainer here folks. update 3/27/25*** antenna continues to work well, i would highly suggest you mount this in attic inside, the body of antenna is plastic and the sun will destroy it probably in 3 years or so. granted there is some slight signal loss, but pre-amp seems to have taken care of that part my 77 year old mother with dementia enjoys OTA tv, and remains calm and content for the most part. small price to pay to have your loved one battling a terrible illness. ... show more

  • Good antenna
This antenna work pretty good. I get 160 channels with great digital clarity. I found a website. Typed in my zip code. This antenna was at the top of the list. It was easy to install and note I have OTA TV with no subscription. I live by an Air Force base so I was concerned about interference.

  • It works AWESOME!
Just put this up to replace a HUGE roof mounted antenna and it works great! We've had problems getting the major networks where we live because the towers are not all in the same place. Aim the big antenna one way and we get 3 out of 4 channels pretty good but miss the other. Turn it the other way a bit and we get the one channel and lose the other 3. I put this small antenna up, aimed it between the 2 towers, and was very happy to go inside, run a channel scan and find that ALL the channels are crystal clear! How can this small thing do WAY BETTER than the HUGE antenna?! It's WELL WORTH the $ for me! ... show more

  • Great antenna for the money
The instruction aren’t perfectly clear, but assembly is easy. I’m very happy with the fit, finish and quality of the retaining brackets. They even included hot galvanized wood screws (nice touch). The signal is awesome, 73 channels with just a power injector and a short coax wire to my deck, facing trees 20’ away. I’ve ordered an RCA amplifier so I can extend to a longer cable and mount higher. I have another review on an antenna that cost 3x more and provided a lot less. Needless to say that was returned. Again, very happy with this antenna. ... show more
