My 2016 Pete never had good SWR, the closest I could find was 2.3 with A 4 foot Firestik and accepted that as my normal. I decided to give this antenna a shot and followed the directions for a 20 inch shaft install on the back of the package and have almost flat 1.1 on ch 1 and 1.2 (I believe its flat) on ch 40. I have a modified Cobra 148 GTL and this upgrade improved everything, the receive sounds very rich and full it hears much clearer and I think twice as far and people say its talking pretty darn sweet. Premium craftsmanship and design alongside with the performance if this antenna makes me want to recommend this product as a good replacement fir anyone interested in upgrading there equipment to the next level ... show more

    • Smashes Wilson 3000.
I had a brand new Wilson 3000 and couldn’t get an acceptable SWR on my Stryker 955. I ran new cable and connectors, did everything. It wasn’t until I pulled the new Wilson and replaced it that I started getting 1:1. It did take a while to tune, but that’s part of the fun.

Put this on my peterbilt for my cb. The distance is incredible. I will never buy a cheap firestick again. This is the only way to go

    • Stryker delivers!!
I have had many different antennas and used different radios with each. I haven't been out there as long as some but have been driving professionally since 2008. Class A 2011. Most of my radios have been cobra 29, various editions peaked and tuned, an awful uniden built road king, and stryker. Most trucks were volvo (which is hard to get good grounding) a few freight shakers, and occasionally international. Day cab and sleepers for those nit pickers. Wilson antennas, k40, fire stick and stock, fiberglass and center load. This has so far outperformed all of them. For my set up I have a Stryker 447 hpc2, Volvo day cab and this bad boy mounted in the center of the slider rack, with a ground cable run to the frame. Swapped from a Wilson 2000 and without adjusting got near even swr ratios of 1 1 and 1.1. The clarity was immediately noticable. ... show more

I am giving this antenna a five because of its craftsmanship and performance! The price was reasonable also because it was an open package return for half price which was nice. The only thing was it was missing the lock washer that I notice while installing it. I also received this in a timely manner so I took the risk buying it used and I just got a washer from the hardware store. I would definitely recommend this product for sure! ... show more

Very nice antenna, I have very low SWRs without doing any adjustments, but the antenna was shipped in a 2 1/2 x 4 ft box so the USPS could not deliver it making me take off my work early before the post office closed and having to go to the post office and pick it up! If I had known that I would have just went by my local retailer and purchased it. I attached two photos of the oversized box it was shipped in. If it had been packaged correctly the whole experience would have been exceptional. ... show more
