Top Amazon Reviews

  • Beyond Expectations.
Color: 2000 ISO Lumens
First things first, this projector is incredible. I watched probably every review on Valerion Projectors, Hisense, JMGO, BENQ, etc… basically any review on any lifestyle projector that’s come out in the last 2 years. After watching “The Hook Up” channel compare all the lifestyle projectors as objectively as possible I decided to pull the trigger on this projector on what I think was the first day it was available on Amazon. Packaging: the projector comes in its own foam carrying case and is very well padded and the case itself looks like it will take a beating and still protect the projector, while still having a premium feel and I believe it will last for years to come. Set up: From Powering on to being up and running and logged into all my streaming apps took all of five minutes. Everything loads faster than my LG C1 Oled TV, and the fact that it operates almost exactly like a tv means my wife and child can use it without having to go through some projector crash course or use a separate remote or dongle. Groovy. Build Quality: The project itself is heavy, feels sturdy, and very premium. I do think the build quality would help protect it if it were to be bounced around a bit in the case, but if it were on a tripod that tipped over I do worry the extra weight and sharp corners could lead to some serious damage as there’s no give in the frame at all to absorb any damage(knock on wood I never find out). The remote has nice heft, solid clicks, the most used buttons are back lit, and the shortcuts ended up being my most used apps anyway so I like it(Disney, Netflix, prime, and YouTube). Mine also came with a nice gimbal stand as part of the launch promotion, does what it’s supposed to and is really well machined. Definitely worth the price. I also sometimes have my projector mounted on an Artcise carbon fiber tripod, with a low profile 54mm ball head, gets me a nice tripod setup that’s rated to hold well over the weight of the machine, and cost maybe $150 bucks all in and feels rock solid. Image quality: the big one. I was expecting a trade off in the image quality when compared to my OLED Tv in exchange for the bigger screen and higher portability. I was wrong. My Oled TV is brighter for sure, and wins in a room with a ton of natural light. In every other scenario I’ll take the Valerion. I was really worried that the image would be blown out if there were any amount of ambient light, and that the projector would end up being only used in really specific scenarios and use the TV for everything else. Right now we use the Projector in about a 10:1 ratio compared to the TV no matter the time of day or amount of ambient light, as long as the light isn’t directly over the image it’s still good. The Opening scene of Star Trek 2 the red and white planet has never had more depth of color, the scene I use to test contrast and darkness is the scene in the last Jerry potter when Voldemort brakes the shield around the school. On every TV I’ve tested it with the image is either so dark that no detail can be seen, or is so blasted out that everything is gray and the depth and color is lost. I turned it on with the Valerion and my Wife and I let out a “wow” together. The combination of contrast and incredible depth in colors and blacks is like nothing I’ve ever seen outside of a pitch black theater with a projector that cost way more than this one. Get it. You won’t be disappointed by the image. Last thought on the image - Killing Monters in MH Wilds on a screen the size of your wall is an incredible experience I can’t even describe. Sound Quality: this one surprised me. First off it gets plenty loud. We typically watch TV on sound level 8 of 100, and if I want to be immersed I’ll bump it up to 15 out of 100 which is plenty to fill our 15x20ft bedroom. I’ve demoed it for every person whose home to our house and almost everyone has remarked how good the sound is, and how well it does sound projection and mimicking surround sound. I even had one friend ask me where my speakers were hidden and walk around looking for hidden surround sound speakers in my room. Changing the sound mode can make a huge difference in what you hear and I’ve been very impressed by the difference in the settings. Overall I’m incredibly impressed with this projector, if I could go back in time and make my decision all over again I wouldn’t change a thing. Cons: I wish the power cord was longer, or there was an option for a longer cord that could still fit in the carry case. I wish there was a cheap(er) option that had an optical zoom, I don’t need more lumens or more features than the Plus2 offers - but I’d love to be able to adjust the Throw Ratio. Or if there had been an option for a 1.0 or 0.8 TR I would have chose that instead. If Valerion ever makes some attachment that can augment the throw ratio is be all over that, but in the mean time I’ll keep loving my projector and smiling like a little kid on Christmas every time I watch a new movie on this incredible Machine. ... show more

  • Home Theatre in a Box
Color: 2000 ISO Lumens
If you had awesome 65/75" TVs in the past and are looking for bigger and better viewing experience. Just get this tech at home as it will surely change how you view movies in the future. I have been watching all the classic, big screen movies again as it's so much more enjoyable now. Ideally I would give Plus2 a 4 star broadly because of my use case, which was about great picture, decent daytime viewing and great portability. While it fully accomplishes the first two tasks but I will not say that it's very portable. Pros: - Enough brightness to support 100/120" screen size on cinegrey3d screen during the day and 180" screen with awesome inspiring clarity and deep blacks during the night. Probably can do more during the night but I don't have that kind of wall or distance to try it on. - Great color accuracy and "intelligence" to switch to the right color space based on the incoming material. This is a HUGE one where it exceeds other tripple laser (110% bt.2020) supporting JmGO, xGimis of the world. I cannot harp enough about this as I spent days in trying to get the right picture on jmGO without any luck. - I got my perfect pic out of the box here and in a few clicks adapted two settings to make my own day time and night time viewing settings. (See the pics) - Best contrast at this price range. Great details during dark scene rendering making it a pleasure. - Several certifications supported that are a miss in other comparable price point products...Dolby Vision, IMAX enhanced, Dolby Atmos, HDR10+. - "Film Maker" mode for those purists. - 12watts Dolby Atmos supported sound. I kid you not this this can get very loud. You'll still miss a home cinema grade base but it does hold extremely well just on its own. - Classic design...this thing is for showing off your tech jewel by keeping it on the coffee table rather than hiding it in a corner. - Above all is an excellent and prompt support from the Valerion team who hand hold you for every request of yours at all stages post sales. I got all my doubts answered and best recommendations for screen etc. I could go on and on...but you get the point. Now to some cons: - At 7kgs and 10" by 9" by 9" this thing is a little bigger than rivals and quite heavy. While the carrying box is awesome and adds to it's portability but it's not easy to move from room to room. I would have have given up on some hdmi and usb slots, even few watts of audio power (since one would pair a home cinema speakers anyways) to get this under 5ks and a cube of 7 x7x7 on a gimbal or tripod. - That smallish form factor would further enhance the "wow" factor of what this machine can deliver. - For better aesthetics power cable connections could have been kept separate and not requiring back panel to be kept open always. ... show more

  • Great project. Make sure you have it at the right Throw ratio.
Color: 2000 ISO Lumens
This projector is awesome. I compared to other higher ISO brightness yet older projectors in the same price range, but I’m so glad I went with this one. It is super bright and clear, even in a somewhat lit room (we have a lamp on and blinds drawn). I did first have it installed too far away from the wall. I used optical zoom, howere the picture was not great. Once I realized it was too far, I mounted at the correct distance according to the Throw Ratio and now it’s excellent. ... show more
