  • Fantastic quality! Top-tier projector. Fantastic quality! Top-tier projector.
Set name: VisionMaster Pro2(Elegant Grey)
Fantastic picture quality. Very good build quality, and the os is pretty good. Blacks look super good, super bright also. I use during the day in a dim environment and still looks fantastic. Huge 150”+ screen with great quality. I also connect my switch 2 sometimes, and it plays on high frame rate keeping the quality good. I’ve connected my PC to play Forza at 240hz and it was so much better than a small monitor. Very immersive. Comes with a nice case too so super portable. It does have a slight up angle, so good for being on the floor, not so great on a stand unless you can angle the stand downward. ... show more

  • Best in class projector 2025- less then $3,000- Valerion PRO 2 Best in class projector 2025- less then $3,000- Valerion PRO 2
Set name: VisionMaster Pro2(Elegant Grey)
This is the one to get if you are on a $3,000 budget. I tested a few models out our before arriving at my decision. What I loved best about the Valerion Vision Master 2 besides the great look and build is the cinematic picture quality, looking almost 3D at times. It seems like the most polished and supported projector in its class having a mature and developed software system behind it. I’m amazed by its ability to look colorful and punchy even with a bit of ambient light in the room. I’m excited to save for a rising ALR screen to go with it to maximize its daytime viewing and to get the best performance out of it in general. Amazon sent a XGIMI Horizon Pro in which I purchased, I was really looking forward to compare it with but unfortunately the box arrived with a significantly dented in corner. The auto keystone correction feature was malfunctioning and the projector was also displaying a 4:3 image when it was supposed to be 16x9. Not cool and a total waste of time and a tying up of my money, Amazon did refund me in a timely manner. I purchased the Vision Master Pro 2 with the matching $150 gimbal attachment for to help with setup and it works great, super sturdy and moves at nearly all angles. I’m very happy with Valerion Pro 2 and look forward to watching it every night. Having Google TV built into the unit is the only way to to go. Setup was as straightforward as it gets. The deep blacks, smooth natural colors and fluid seamless picture qualities have one me over! ... show more

  • Amazing bright projector, cinema quality, portable and stylish Amazing bright projector, cinema quality, portable and stylish
Set name: StreamMaster Plus2(Pearl White)
I came from owning a nine year old 1080p Optoma projector and it was starting to malfunction having served us well over the years. I wasn't sure what had changed in the years since with projector technology but it seemed the answer was a lot - 4k laser projectors with much quieter cooling are now the standard and Valerion came up consistently as the brand that combined cinema quality, value and portability. The Plus 2 works well for me as I don't need the optical adjustments from the Pro range and the picture it puts out is still as incredible. I have it set up in the basement where ambient light is controlled, and it really is like being at the cinema. I wish the room could handle a larger screen but 125" is still crazy (the Plus 2 can handle up to 300"). Even with the shades open the picture is totally useable due to how bright this thing is, so that's usually how we have it set up for sports and TV. The quality has you forgetting just how portable it is too (the carry case is great), and I took it outside and hung up my old 100" screen to give it a try. Again the brightness it puts out allows you to enjoy the picture in all but direct sunlight. Needless to say the kids loved it, and the only problem now is I am going to have to invest in another larger screen I think, and possibly the elegant tripod stand which would suit our decor perfectly - I've never seen a piece of tech that enhances the style of a room quite as much as this before! A previous version of my review complained about the fan noise which I found to be a bit distracting, not because of the volume but the fact it turns itself on and off. Valerion reached out to me and offered some practical advice around airflow which did have some effect, and in the meantime I have to say I got used to it. I still think it would be nice to be able to choose to set a minimum speed for the fan or something like that, to minimize more the variation in fan noise level. Having spoken to Valerion's customer service team, who impressed me with their courtesy and knowledge, I am happy the engineering team will do whatever is possible to improve things further in the future. I'll update this review with any updates that happen. ... show more

  • Better than a High-end TV for Sports and Movies (My Custom Settings Included) Better than a High-end TV for Sports and Movies (My Custom Settings Included)
Set name: VisionMaster Pro2(Elegant Grey)
After moving several times, I decided I was done buying TVs. I’ve spent good money on high-end TVs, only to run into issues within three years. On top of that, the cost and hassle of transporting large TVs during moves was simply frustrating. Even though my wife preferred getting another TV, I decided to give a projector a try for those reasons. After researching countless models and watching what felt like endless YouTube “reviews” (many of which honestly felt more like ads), I chose the Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2. The first thing I watched on it was Olympic skiing footage, and I was genuinely shocked. In my opinion, projectors absolutely outperform TVs when it comes to fast-moving content. The sense of motion feels more natural and immersive. After that, I watched F1 and Top Gun: Maverick — and the cinematic immersion was on a completely different level compared to watching on a TV. My living room has a fairly large wall, so I decided not to use a dedicated screen. I’m sure image quality would improve even further with a proper screen, but even projecting directly onto the wall, I’m more than satisfied. One thing I strongly believe about projectors is that personalization matters a lot. It’s not like buying clothes “close enough” to your size — it’s more like tailoring something to fit you perfectly. I highly recommend taking the time to adjust settings until they truly match your own eyes and preferences. I currently use it with an Apple TV 4K. The built-in Google TV system is perfectly fine, but I personally prefer the slightly warmer color tone of Apple TV. Below are the settings I’m using. I based these on U.S. community discussions and adjusted them further using guidance from Gemini and ChatGPT. Apple TV 4K Settings: • Format: 4K SDR • Match Content: Range – On / Frame Rate – On • Chroma: 4:2:2 Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 Settings: For Movies (HDR / Dolby Vision): • Picture Mode: Filmmaker or Theater • Color Temperature: Warm 1 or Warm 2 • Enhanced Black Level (EBL): Low or Medium • Dynamic Tone Mapping: On • Laser Luminance: 6–8 in a dark room (10 if there is ambient light) Motion & Clarity: • Motion Enhancement (MEMC): Film or Off • DLP Turbo Mode: Off From my personal experience, I don’t really notice rainbow effect (RBE) when watching YouTube content. However, when watching movies through Apple TV, I did occasionally notice RBE. Enabling RBE reduction settings significantly minimized it for me. One last personal observation: if you wear glasses, lens quality may affect your experience more than you think. Unlike TVs, projectors are extremely light-sensitive. I use two different lenses with the same prescription but different price ranges, and I can definitely see a difference. Watching with higher-quality lenses noticeably improved my overall viewing satisfaction. Overall, switching to a projector has completely changed how I experience movies at home. For anyone who moves frequently or wants a more cinematic experience, this has been a great decision for me. ... show more

  • Amazing Picture, a Few Early Adoption Flaws
Set name: StreamMaster Plus2(Pearl White)
This is a brand new company and a brand new product... As most first product launches go, there are some kinks to work out still that may be worth waiting for, which is why I didn't give it a perfect 5 star review. That said, there are some clear pros here if you're willing to plunge in. Pros: - This is one of the best pictures I've ever seen on a projector (or even TV, if I'm being honest). Nothing in this price range will come close to this picture. Even my kids were saying things like "Whoa, you can see the individual leaves" and "I've never noticed that before!!" and we were only 10 minutes into watching their favorite movies. "Dad, you can see the stitching in Mirabel's clothes!! Look at the fuzz on that plant!" I had a native UHD 4K projector before this taht friends and family loved, but this thing leaves it in the dust by a wide margin. Normally I'm the only one in the house oohing and ahhing over picture quality, but my wife and kids were constantly pointing out textures and colors they've never seen in the movies before. I now want to watch every Pixar movie over again as they all feel brand new. - There is no black screen or pause between changing settings or modes. If you change jutter reduction, film modes, 4K to HDR or the ridiculous fluctations of Youtube video quality (forcing your projector to constantly change modes), you won't get a long black loading screen. It's instantaneous and allowed me (a huge visual nerd) to go back and forth on settings over and over again without disruption. This meant I got the exact look I wanted from my films locked in so much faster and made comparing a ton of fun. - Judder Reduction- I'm a huge advocate of watching films at 24 fps (original frame speed in most movies) as any smoothness makes films look like home movies or soap operas. Luckily, this has a specific 24 fps (Film) option to match that specification perfectly. However, this also has multiple modes, including one (Custom) that allows you to adjust Judder and Blur Reduction separately. Judder reduces flicker in movement and Blur reduces panning and moving blurriness. Blur reduction is good in most cases and most people like this reduction. Judder is the one that divides people over how it makes the videos look. This allowed me to put blur at it's highest smoothness without giving it a soap opera effect at all. I also barely, ever-so-slightly touched up the judder reduction to make it just slightly smoother than 24fps, which maintained the feel of the movie but making movement just barely smoother. Most people wouldn't notice it, but it cleaned up some of the movements juuuuuuuust enough. This was a HUGE deal for me when I discovered and played with it. I had to keep telling myself it was okay to not watch a movie in perfect 24fps because it looked the same, just better. (Like I said... I'm a nerd.) - The colors on this thing pop. If you want to, you can practically make them explode. But right out of the box, the colors look amazing and required no touch-up. I haven't calibrated the projector yet and I'm not sure I need to. It's that accurate and pretty. I pulled up one of those OLED videos they show you at the store (like honey being poured with a solid black background) and it was nearly flawless. Besides the black levels (because... projector), this is OLED quality color. Watch the opening scene of Cars on this to prove it. You'll simply stare in unbelief. - Brightness is fantastic. My previous projector was supposedly the same lumens as this, but this is clearly brighter. I have a light-controlled theater room, and I can actually turn up the lights a little to see my surroundings if desired and still maintain a quality picture at all times. Obviously it's better in the dark, but it's an option now whereas before I couldn't turn on any lights at all. ** So why only 4 stars if I'm raving about this so much? Because some features just don't fully work yet. I'm hoping for a software update to fix most of them. If the updates help, I'll update this review and gladly give a full 5 stars. - EBL: This is the big one. If you go and watch/read reviews on this, every reviewer under the sun talks about Enhanced Black Levels on this thing. They all talk about it being the next step in the evolution of projectors and claim that it brings a profound black level unparalleled in the projector universe. However, my experience is barely visible. I contacted the company as I thought it wasn't working and they gave me some suggestions on how to see that it's working, including utilizing a black screen they created (on Youtube) to help you see it in action. The only way that I could see it was changing the settings, videoing the results and placing the results side by side to see the light comparison. It's there, barely, but it's definitely not game changing at this point. Maybe their other models are better... - Eye protection. The lamp is supposed to dim if something gets in front of it. It doesn't work at all on mine. I've tested it in many ways and it hasn't done it once. - Glitches from time to time in the picture. Sometimes I get a few frames of picture that look like the settings suddenly turned off and I'm back to a dimished version. But again, it lasts a few frames at most and only happens once every 5 minutes or so. I assume a software update will easily fix this as I've seen TVs do the same thing when they first come out. - Though my Blur Reduction is turned up all the way and I'm using a bit of Judder Reduction, from time to time I have things (like the rows and rows of feeling spheres in Inside Out) that pulsate as the screen pans. It's not always, but it's enough that the brightness of the screen and color become problematic and obvious because the picture is so powerful. It could just be what I'm streaming, but I'm using the Disney app installed on the projector and everything else looks amazing. The reason I bought from Amazon is the no-hassle return policy. I'm going to try it for a few weeks and hope that an over the air update comes through and fixes most of the little kinks and enhances a few things. Time will tell. But if they can fix these things through an update, then this is the go-to projector for your house, hands-down! For the price, you won't be able to match the quality in 2025. ... show more

  • Incredible Picture — Here’s How to Get the Most Out of It
Set name: VisionMaster Pro(Moonight Gold)
I’ve been using the Valerion VisionMaster Pro 4K Laser Projector for a few weeks now, and overall I’m extremely impressed. The image quality is sharp, colors are vibrant, and brightness is more than enough even in a moderately lit room. It really delivers a premium home theater experience. That said, getting the best performance out of this projector takes a bit of setup. Here are a few tips that made a big difference for me: 1. Take time with placement and alignment Out of the box, it’s tempting to rely on keystone correction, but you’ll get a noticeably sharper image if you physically align the projector as square to the screen as possible. Minimize digital correction whenever you can. 2. Use a proper screen (or optimize your wall) While it works on a plain wall, pairing it with a decent ALR or matte white screen significantly improves contrast and perceived brightness. If using a wall, make sure it’s smooth and painted with a neutral white or light gray. 3. Adjust picture settings — don’t stick with default The default mode is good, but tweaking brightness, contrast, and color temperature based on your room lighting makes a big difference. I found “Cinema” or “Movie” mode to be the best starting point. 4. Control ambient light Even though this projector is bright, reducing ambient light (especially from windows) dramatically improves black levels and overall contrast. Simple blackout curtains go a long way. 5. Optimize your source quality To really see what this projector can do, feed it high-quality 4K content. Streaming at lower bitrates doesn’t do it justice. A good streaming device or Blu-ray source elevates the experience. 6. Sound setup matters The built-in audio is decent, but pairing it with a soundbar or external speakers transforms the experience into a true home theater. 7. Check firmware updates early Make sure you update the firmware when you first set it up. It can improve performance, fix bugs, and sometimes add features. Bottom line: This is a fantastic projector with excellent image quality, but it rewards a bit of thoughtful setup. Spend an extra hour dialing things in, and you’ll get a picture that genuinely feels cinematic. Highly recommended ... show more

  • Great projector, they fixed the rainbow effect!
Set name: VisionMaster Pro2(Elegant Grey)
This is my first projector, coming from a 65" LG G1 Oled TV. I'm projecting at 150" in a totally dark room onto a white wall, with white walls a 1/2 foot to each side, a white ceiling, and a wood floor. The image quality is great for bright viewing, like sports—I watch mostly basketball—and bright movies like Inside Out 2. For darker viewing—we tried to watch the Christopher Nolan batman movies recently—it's a bit rough, you almost can't see what's going on. I'm hoping by covering my walls and ceiling with black acoustic panels or black curtains or black felt, and by putting a black rug on the floor, the screen won't wash out as badly. EBL helps a bit (you won't see the effect with any titles on screen, or anything bright on screen, like if someone has a flashlight), but black levels are no where near as good as on my Oled TV. It is night & day. I purchased screen samples from Silver Screen, thinking my wall was the issue, but my matte white wall looks better than all of the screen samples. It's clear that if I bought a grey screen, the black levels would be better, but at a significant hit to the brights, and I'd rather not do that. Laser speckle is a non-issue on my white wall, but both me and my girlfriend experience the rainbow effect quite a bit (fixed now! See my *Edit at the end). In chaotic scenes, it's almost hard to watch—bright flashes of red/green/blue stab our eyes. In other scenes I don't notice it at all. I think it has as much to do with how tired I am & how my eyes are physically working that day as what the projector is doing. The real fix for this is to get a three chip projector. There is a firmware update Valerion is touting that I'm crossing my fingers fixes the issue, otherwise we may either switch back to a TV, or pony up for a three chip projector. So, in summary, the projector is fantastic in many ways I didn't get into (build quality, view options), but the black levels are disappointing coming from an Oled TV & the rainbow effect is almost a deal-breaker. Hopefully both can be fixed— between the firmware update & blacking out the surfaces in my basement room. Hope that helps! * Edit: The firmware update came out in Jan 2026 and when I upgraded both the Android and DLP firmware, a new setting appeared called "Reduce Rainbow Effect," or something like that, under Projector settings. I turned that on & a faint high-pitched whine started coming from the projector, which I can totally deal with, and the rainbow effect is totally gone from my POV. I watched a few chaotic dark scenes that really bothered me before. Bravo Valerion! Increasing my rating to 5 stars from 4 starts. ... show more
