abunda_amazon_reviews Pretty bummed with this purchase. I've owned streamlight flashlights for years and they have been the highest brightest quality flashlights that can take a beating, however this switchblade I am very unhappy with. As far as light quality goes it is very bright and represents streamlight well. Where this product is lacking is in design and durability. The button is in a very awkward spot and is not conventional for putting the light in a tricky spot and being able to turn on or off or even cycle modes. The lens over the lights is the biggest dissapointment the slightest drops and chemicals such as oils and cleaners interacting with it cause it to get all fuzzy and spider crack which makes the light dimmer, this flashlight will not hold up well in an automotive environment. The swivel neck should have more movability to better be able to hang and mount the light facing the way you want or even having the magnetic base being able to swivel would help drastically. The magnets should be stronger they just dont cut it because if the light gets hit or if strong wind comes it is enough to rock the light and it will eventually fall. And my last complaint is battery life, it is not as good as my other streamlights, I find it won't even make 3 hours of use in a day which is not ideal in my industry.;;Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2019;;2.0 out of 5 stars;;Not the same Streamlight;;Natural44;;;The light is bright but battery only last 2 1/2 hours and the light get dimmer in that time. The light doesn't work with charger plugged in. It's heavy and large size. The light bar only bends one way. I was expecting a lot more from this light. Harbor Freight tools sells a light that is plenty bright and a 1/4 or less of the price. There light works while plugged into charger and light bar bends both ways. I would not buy a Streamlight again or recommend it to anyone. After 5 hours on a charger the charging indicator is still solid red, pull it off to turn it on to see IF it turns on......nothing. Will also see how well this gets handled through Amazon. It feels solid otherwise, the magnets are strong. What I would expect from stream light. This light provides great output from both the normal LED side and the color accurate LED side, with even the UV light having considerable brightness. The multiple recharge options are great (USB or Stinger charger), and the versatility provided by the various mounting options and light blade angles makes it an overall great light. My only wish would be that the lights were dimmable, as sometimes they're just too bright! Only light up on side of flat two sides led array of light, it would be nice if you could operate both sides at the same time for those hard to reach and see areas under the hood or dash, suspension etc. The black light works fantastic as well. I’ve now bouggt 3 of these now and I’m very satified with the durability and new revised base with stronger magnets that allow for the base of the lamp to stick to any metal and stay bonded in any position of the wand even upside down. I am a service technician who works indoors, outside, and in the canopies of buildings. Heck I have even used this on a desk indoors to shine added light on a project. It is ALOT more expensive than the cheap 10$ magnetic lights, but you get what you pay for.
