I was gifted a cheap brand work light similar to this, primarily for walking our dogs at night. I found it extremely useful and an amazing gift. However, after about two months the batteries wouldn't even hold a two-minute charge, and the adjustable handle always fell to a different position. Having a full range of DeWalt tools and batteries, and knowing I really liked the concept from that gift, I bought this. Wow! This thing is amazing. Battery life - I have been using it for over a year, almost every single day, and for multiple trips a day during the short days of late fall to early spring. In addition, I use it in my workshop and attic for extra lighting. I have only gone through one recharge of the 20v 5ah battery I use, and even then I just decided to recharge it even though battery was at 2 out of 3 bars. Features - grip and balance - With the battery mentioned above, the balance of weight is very good. In addition, the grip on it makes it comfortable and easy to hold on to. Has not even slipped in my hand once. - pivoting head - Very solid. Stays in place. Allow you to pivot the light up a little, so when you walk it shines where you need it without having to hold it awkwardly. - light strength - I usually leave it on high power. Low is a softer light, but still has good rage, I just prefer to see things a little more easily. Even with that, the battery life is unreal. - the built in hanging hook is rock solid and sturdy ... no chance of it pulling free - durability - it has been knocked off tables, shoe bench, and other temporary places .. always onto concrete or tile flooring ... absolutely rock solid with no damage Just an absolutely outstanding device. Start it’s a very good light DeWalt batteries powered up really well. The light as a high setting that is very bright excellent for any type of work you doing? I keep it on medium cause all the way up is super bright.

This DeWalt work light is one of two different work lights I purchased at the same time (The other was a LIVOWALNY LED Work Light for DeWalt Battery). I thought I would like the other one better because it had 4 spot-type lights which I expected to pot out a nice bright light beam. The LIVOWALNY light did put out a bright spot - and it also got rather hot and drained the battery quickly. After using them both, this DeWalt brand light is my favorite by far. It throws a wide beam of light that is still nice and bright, and I find this much more useful than the "spot" light. It can stand on its own or you can hang it from the attached wire handle. It has one lower brightness setting, which is nice when working in a confined space, like under a cabinet. I use it with a 5 amp-hr battery and it lasts for hours. It cost more than the other light (more than 2x), but I like the performance much better, and I am very happy with this light. ... show more

good task lighting and pretty bright. i bought two of these for working on cars. the head does not fully swivel so some applications maybe challenging to get light where you need it.

Absolutely perfect lighting for auto mechanic work. Will last over 4 hours straight use on high with the smaller battery pack. Very bright multipositional light. Convenient hook for hanging. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.
