I was very optimistic when it arrived in the mail. Once I opened the box I noticed that the plastic was quite light weight. Not the thicker plastic of the brand name. It did fit on well, though. Still optimistic, I began styling my naturally curly/wavy, color treated hair. This tool does not have the left/right button like the OEM attachments do, to make it easy styling both sides of your head. For this tool, the airflow is only one way - so you have to remember to flip your arm around, and the tool, when you start on the other side of the head. This tool does not clamp down on the hair as it should, so it really did not straighten or smooth my hair. It left it looking frizzy and poofy once it was dry. I wanted to love this styling tool because of the price; however, this tool is not for me. Might work if your hair is not curly!

I bought the Dyson Airstraight and ended up returning it back to Sephora because while it was very fast and easy to straighten my naturally wavy hair, the results didn’t last longer than 20 minutes. I say that to say, that I was super excited when I found this product for close to a 10th of a price of the Airstraight and it would work with my Airwrap. First, I want to note that the attachment bronze color is off, which isn’t a huge deal, but it doesn’t look seamless with my Dyson. Next, let’s get to the functionality of this- Air does blow through the device just fine, but the plates are set too low to actually touch your hair. & the air pressure isn’t good enough with the design of this product to really straighten your hair at all. As you can see from the photo I attached I did two slow & sectioned passes with this tool on the right side of my hair and it looks maybe 20% less wavy?? But I can barely tell a difference if I’m being honest. If I did two passes with the actual Airstraight my hair was dang near PIN STRAIGHT. So this doesn’t come close. Not to mention that the quality of this attachment just doesn’t feel up to par for the $70. Yes it’s less then the $500 dyson but for this price you can get an amazing straightener. I might use this again if I just wanted to tame down my waves a little bit so they looked loser, but I think it would genuinely be impossible to straighten your hair with this attachment. And like I mentioned with the price, I don’t think that they should be more than, $20 at most. Personally I would skip this one 😔

Not worth the price or even the consideration. Knew this wouldn't work when I opened the box because the plates don't meet/touch completely flush. They do get hot and the air blows through the slot but you'd have to clamp this down with extreme force for it to act like a flat iron yet give you frizzy results. One section was enough to know this belongs in the trash

Helps to dry hair when damp, and style it a bit at the same time. It's good for taming hair by using the heat from the blow dryer rather than a flat iron. It's an in between styling tool so it doesn't do either super well in my opinion but has a nice middle ground. If you are looking for a quick hair drying style without committing a lot of time to it then this is a good option.
