I'm 71 and have been playing golf 4 years. So it's been difficult even hitting in the 90's. I took a lesson with these new Cobra today at Dicks Sporting Goods. The instructor said these are very good clubs, very forgiving and excellent quality, for this price point. After my lesson I played a round with my buddies. And I can assure you, I played much better! Hitting the ball straighter and further! I did decrease my score from the usual hi 90's to 91 today. I’m 69 and a 13 handicap. These irons play exactly as advertised. Great price. Not magic wands but if I hit them squarely I definitely get one club bigger distance than I had with previous irons. I can still loft the higher irons with ease but do find it harder to get the 5 and 6 iron up enough for soft landings. To be fair at my age those clubs 160- 175 yard range are being replaced by a 7 and 5 wood most of the time anyway. But if you’re a good iron hitter I highly recommend these. ... show more

Great set of irons especially for the cost. Cobra makes great stuff and they hit well and straight and have improved my game as they were a set up from my previous irons. Would definitely recommend.

The Cobra Darkspeed iron set is an outstanding piece of equipment. I tested the 7-iron in a golf shop and, after doing enough research, I knew this set would be a great fit for me. Given my swing speed, style, and game goals at this stage, I am completely satisfied. The irons offer excellent balance, impressive distance, and comfortable grips, and they perform exactly as expected. This is a solid and very affordable set. Shipment arrived on time and packed very well! These clubs are gorgeous. As a mid-handicapper who values distance and forgiveness over precise workability, the Cobra Darkspeed Irons have been an outstanding addition to my bag. I was looking for an upgrade that utilized modern technology to help me hit more consistent shots, and these delivered exactly that. The dark charcoal finish is sleek and looks great in the bag; they have a modern, premium look that definitely turns heads. The top line is on the thicker side, as expected for a game-improvement iron, but the dark finish makes it appear a little more compact at address. In terms of feel, they are very solid at impact. The hollow cavity is filled with soft foam microspheres, which dampens vibrations and provides a pleasant, solid sound.
