These chairs are surprising in so many ways! They are quite easy to assemble. The hardware comes set up as you need it (bolts loaded with 2 washers). Pre-set holes to guide them. The chairs are good quality and heavy. At a great price! One thing -- the u-brace is held on with a screw which only has 1 pre-drilled hole. Two would have been helpful. I started by purchasing the East West Yarmouth 30x48 Kitchen table, which is incredibly nice and was super easy to assemble, and then I needed some chairs to go with it. Normally I'd want to actually sit in a chair before purchasing, but these had such good reviews, and I've been so happy with the East West table, that I decided to take a chance and order the 2 East West VAC-OAK-W Vancouver dinning chairs, and I'm very happy I did. I like to take my time, so it took me about an hour per chair for assembly. Nothing hard, all by my myself, just slow and methodical, not tightening the screws until it was all put together and standing upright on the floor. After all the screws were tightened on the 1st chair, there was a very tiny wobble when standing by itself, but when sitting in the chair, no wobble at all. Same thing with the 2nd chair. Just for giggles, I loosened the screws on one of the chairs, placed in flat on the floor again, sat in it, then laid down on the floor and tightened all the screws again, and the same thing, just a very tiny wobble when standing by itself, but when seated, it's perfectly fine, so that's fine with me. What surprised me is how comfortable these chairs are. I was ready to purchase cushions, but now I see no need, seriously, I enjoy sitting in these chairs while I'm eating breakfast, or working on some project, or playing cards. Just what I was looking for! Small reddish color brown chairs of good quality to go with my new-to-me antique table that was missing chairs! Seller was quick to ship and product was well packaged. Super easy to put together. I like that the back support and legs are all one piece. I liked the aesthetically pleasing rounded seat and leg support - I thought it went well with my table shape. I am very satisfied with these chairs. The assembly was easy. They match my table perfectly, and the quality is excellent. Never have to worry about sagging seats, since they are made of solid wood. I added chair pads for more comfort.

I do like these kitchen chairs as they filled the need for now. They are sturdy and not terribly difficult to assemble. We wanted wood chairs since our cats keep tearing up fabric or leather and that is why we picked these. Sitting on wood chairs is not exactly comfortable but you can always add a cushion as needed. The style and color would match a lot of different decor and the color in the photos was true to the actual color. They do work for us. We have a small kitchen table in the window with not a lot of room. I would say only that the short backs were a little disappointing. They look good enough but I would have preferred a couple of inches taller. If you have a big table or a high ceiling then consider that, but otherwise I am happy with the purchase and the price was great. ... show more

These chairs are solid, sturdy, comfortable, easy to assemble. One thing they need to change is at the end of the directions they state do not tighten any bolts are screws until after all connected, they should have that at the beginning. Overall solid wood and good quality
