Such a simple, but effective piece of hardware. This magnetic mount does not require any adhesive, and sits above your monitor to mount your iPhone so you can use it as a high-quality webcam for meetings. Before purchasing this item, I was in the market to purchase a new webcam because the image quality from my built-in camera on my Macbook Pro left me with something to be desired. For the price of this item, I figured it was worth a shot before committing a bigger budget for an expensive webcam. To my delight, this was the perfect piece of upgrade and saved me so much money from having to buy a new camera! Because it doesn't use any adhesives, I don't have to worry about the mount damaging my monitor. The hinges are super sturdy and stable, and the magnet is strong; I do not worry about my phone going anywhere when mounted to this product. The best part is that because it does not use adhesives, I can take this mount with me anywhere I go, and even put it on the back of my laptop when I am traveling. I am looking to upgrade from just webcams to using my iPhone to film videos. So, I use this mount to hold my phone on my monitor. It is sitting there along side my webcam. I like how firmly it grips the phone. It snaps into place… I do have to take care when removing it though. I also like that I had no problems with mounting it to my monitor - even though it is thicker than my laptop. Finally, I appreciate that it has a tripod mount so that I can more it off my monitor altogether if I want. Overall, the unit feels durable and made of high quality materials as well. A downside is that I have to remove it often as it does not have a swivel which would allow me to switch from camera side to screen side easily. I propped up a mirror so that I can see what’s on the screen some times, but I wish that it could rotate around in addition to tilting. All in all, I like the mounting versatility and how well it holds the phone. I just wish it would swivel around.

The material used is of good quality and the hinge is strong yet easy to adjust. It can be added to the monitor stably and has strong magnets that can firmly attach to the phone. It can also be attached to the tripod. When not in use, it can be folded up to save space.

The build quality of this far exceeded expectations. It's thick aluminum, precisely machined, in a very nice neutral gray (apple would call it Space Gray). It mounts onto Apple Pro Display XDR (also tested successfully on Studio Display) effortlessly. At first I was a little worried that since it doesn't have a magnetic attachment to the display or any real clamping force it could get knocked off the display but it does seem that its weight along with its stiff support joint makes it fairly secure. My main criticism is that while many others of this type of mount appear to hang the phone a little below the top edge of the display, this one has the phone fully above the display yet it still holds the phone at the rear of the display. I wish it had the ability to slide the phone toward the front of the display. That would bring the camera closer and also allow the use of Desk View which you can't really use with this because when you angle the mount toward the desk the top of the display comes into view before you get much view of the desk (even if you mount the phone so the camera is at the top). This makes Desk View unavailable with this mount and it seems like they could have built it in a way that would have accommodated that use. Also, you can't rotate the phone to vertical, which again is frustrating because the phone hangs fully behind the display so if the mount didn't get in the way a vertical orientation would be possible. If none of those criticisms matter to you then you will be happy with this mount because it is built very well, its versatility shortfalls notwithstanding. PS My final criticism is that I wish they didn't put their logo on the front of it; I don't love staring at "S'TOUCHI" while on video calls. I guess I'll be covering up this device's fine finish with a sticker just so I don't have their logo in my face all the time.

Got this one because it was cheaper than a big brand name alternative and wasn't for MacBooks only, but could work with my desk monitor. It's very simple and works as you'd expect. I have an iPhone 13 mini with a silicone case on, so the MagSafe magnets may be slightly weaker than a phone without a case, but there's no issue attaching and sticking to this camera mount. Can recommend if you want to give Continuity Camera a try since I enjoy not having additional wires on my desk if I can help it. Longer video meetings will definitely drain your battery some, but it's not too massive, and is to be expected after all.

Impressed by the quality of this thing. Nice, heavy metal, just feels quality in your hand. Love that it folds completely flat– easier to store or travel with. Note: depending on your phone case, you might need to take it off to use it. This isn't the fault of the mount though, I just don't have a magsafe friendly case!
