This little guy is amazing! I have it connected to an american bass hawk 15” running at 2 ohms. Its putting out around 1500w at 2. The amp does get hot in summer when the inside of sitting vehicle is over 125 but cools down when driving with the a/c on. I have had no protection or clipping problems. Like others have said the bass knob is super sensitive. I have it connected to factory head unit via y harness and a kicker keyloc. The gain on amp is not even turned up to half because of the imput signal from the kicker converter being strong and clean. Next plans are to get another amp and another hawk and run the amps strapped. buying 2 of the 2000.1 is cheaper than running a single 4000 by about $60 and on paper will put out the same watts. The only thing I plan on changing is tossing the qbomb box in the trash and building a solid box that wont rattle apart. Everyone that hears it thinks I have at least 2 speakers and a huge amp…..lol

It works perfect, I have 2 EVL 12 inch subs and it works perfect it pushes them hard, they hit. They are in 2010 F150 it raddles the whole truck, its perfect and the bass knob is very good it can turn the bass all the way off and all the way on. If your thinking about getting the amp DO IT you will not regret getting it. It will hit if installed right, would have a shop do it unless you can do it yourself. I have it ran on 4 gauge wire and its perfect would not run it with a higher gauge wire. but with all that being said GET THE AMP YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

If you're looking for DSPs, remotes with 30 functions and matching LEDs or fancy whiz bang electronics then this isn't it. It is as plain jain as they come. Bare minimum bass knob, boring look and super basic adjustments. Heck, it doesn't even have a clipping light. If on the other hand you know what you are doing and just want a truck load of clean power without vaporizing your wallet then this is it. Check the YouTube dyno reviews, get you a 30 dollar pocket oscilloscope and get ready to bump. I replaced a 900 dollar kicker 5 channel with this and the matching 4 channel amp for half the cash and ended up with twice the grin. The Stinger MT series amps are great, again if you know what you are doing. Super easy to tune the gains and they sound fantastic. The amp is definitely power hungry but if you can feed it then she'll definitely eat.
