This thing may be pricey but its real power. It's not your walmart 3000watt amp for $100, this is actual 1500+ watt true rms. The birth sheet said around 1800watts @ 1 ohm, which is pretty crazy. I have two alpine type x 12 in a prefab sealed box, and they hit hard and sound really good. I can only imagine them in a ported box, but i wanted to save space.     • Can't go wrong with Rockford
This is now my 3rd set of Rockford amps, my last one lasted from 2002 - 2012 (also power series) and led a HARD life. I chose to go with 2 of these (a t400-4 also) due to their small size which I installed in a custom rack I find installation of this generation simpler then my last one since it now uses regular phillips heads to bind the wiring and build quality doesn't seem to be all that bad These are feeding Boston Acoustics Pro Series drivers in fronts and sub along with MB quarts in the rear for fill which are all highly sensitive speakers so proper tuning is a must as with any amp These have minimal distortion that I can hear and they certainly seem very efficient BUT my old ones to me sounded better All and all if I were spending more I would have possibly looked at other brands and it's likely I would still pick these because of the reliability I have had with my last 2 sets , you simply can't go wrong with Rockford ... show more

i bought this thinking i hope it will push my alpine type r 12's i have 3 of them and i have a 3.5 farad planet audio capacitor well this bad boy hits so hard that my headlights dim it looks like im flashing people. before this i had a 4000 watt 4 channel pyle amp. it pushed them but knew i could push them better and harder. well now i cant turn my radio up half way or i will burn the voice coils completely out of them. but if you think your friends kenwood or pioneer amp is good i can guarantee it will hit harder and sound better. it is a class bd, rockford fosgate calls it that because its their mixture of a class ab amp and d amp it sound good and hits hard. i have my amp turned very low and my stereo very low and it maxes out my subs easily. ... show more

I bought this amp just barely 2 years ago and haven't really gave any use to it since on the car it is I don't use it I just put 5k miles a year so it has been use a lot. The amp still on but won't send out to the subwoofer at all won't recommend this brand at all to no one

Versatile, powerful, a go to amplifier for me. At about .50 cents a watt if you can afford this, it’s worth every penny. I’ll have to upgrade my electrical output and possibly add an extra battery to get the full power out it. Have it set to right at the brink of my current capabilities without overdraw/dimming and with a 3 farad capacitor, still sounds good. ... show more

Been a fosgage amp fan since they first came out. Remember how bad ass the OG punch 150 once was??? This amp knocks. 2 kicker RT 12’s with 1ohm coils bridged up to 4ohm total. My only issue is it’s a few weeks old now and I can still notice a little burn in smell. Hardly a legit complaint. In the truck this amp makes my kickers punch me right in twig and berries.
