Skar Audio engineered the RP-4500.1D Class D monoblock subwoofer amplifier to be dominant in both power and reliability compared to anything else on the market in its' class. Designing the most efficient, well built, high quality amplifiers is where we start here at Skar Audio, and that is exactly what is delivered in the RP-4500.1D. This amplifier is competition grade and for the most serious audiophiles seeking extreme levels of power output. The RP-4500.1D is 1-ohm stable and utilizes a wide array premium internal components that make it extremely powerful and reliable - such as its high speed MOSFET power supply and advanced PCB board layout. Conservatively rated at 4,500 watts RMS power at a 1-ohm load, with the capabilities of reaching beyond 7,000 watts at max power output. This amplifier is by far one of the most affordable and powerful competition grade monoblocks on the market when priced per watt, and will exceed your expectations when you hear it bring your subwoofers alive. Furthermore, the oversized 1/0-gauge power and ground terminals found on the amplifier allow for maximum current flow and therefore higher power output and more efficient operation. You'll have full reign over your amplifier with the built-in user control panel, featuring variable adjustment tunings for gain level, bass EQ (0-9 dB), subsonic filter (10-50 Hz), low-pass filter (35-250 Hz), and phase filter (0-180 Degrees). In addition to all the above features, this model also features 4-way protection circuitry, which will give the user the peace of mind knowing they are protected against damage to the amplifier for various reasons - including electrical shortage, overheating, low voltage, and more. This amplifier comes with a remote subwoofer level control (bass knob) allowing the user to have full control over their bass from the front of the vehicle. Present on the RP-4500.1D as well are both input and output RCA connections, allowing the source signal to be daisy chained between multiple amplifiers. The RP-4500.1D is also strappable, featuring an output master/slave input switch.

After using only Sundown products for the last 7 years, it came a time when I wanted to build a budget build and Sundown was not in it. For years i've seen the massive amount of what I will now call 'propaganda' against this company which said it's products were terrible. Not only is that untrue, my experience is 100% the opposite in my limited time with it. The RP-4500 is as powerful as you would expect a 4500w rms amplifier to be, it has lots of power. For an amplifier that does not include an internal fan to keep cool, the beefy heatsink does a wonderful job even in hot sun of keeping the amp within temp on near clipping load for over an hour. Sound quality wise it is no different than the most expensive sundown amplifiers or the least expensive down4sound amplifiers, in my experience. Budget wise it provides one of the best price per watt ratios in the amp market right now. Very happy with this purchase. What I think could make this board better would be to include a clip indicator knob and maybe a cooling fan. A foam gasket around the back panel of the amplifier would be great to reduce vibration induced noise/rattle. Sundown audio amplifiers for example include this gasketing. ... show more

I like how loud and perfect this setup is, or any of my Skar setups for that matter. Just a beautiful thing. Bravo, Skar… Bravo Edit: My 4500.1 is NOT mounted to the enclosure. I fabricated a bracket and it just floats there and stays cool. The 4 EVL 12’s must be getting broken in or something because it is getting even louder! I never even found the limit when I was tuning it. I just stopped when it started to hurt my ears and threw iced coffee on my dash because it was shaking so much in the cup holder. I haven’t even ported the enclosure yet! Good grief man. Peoples reactions when they get in and hear/feel it for the first time… priceless. ... show more

If I could give zero stars I would this is the biggest waste of money I have ever spent I bought this hoping I could get more watts to my 2 12’s and door speakers in my truck I already have a working planet audio it’s just underpowered so I got the 4500 watt and I plugged everything into the skar and wouldn’t even power on not even protection mode nothing nothing at all so I thought I had messed something up so I plugged back into my planet audio and everything works just fine ... show more

This amplifier is a beast but it is definitely power-hungry! I have this amplifier pushing 2 zvx-12v2 Subs wired at 1 ohm. My entire car looks like a lung the way it flexes. Originally I had 0 gauge ofc wire from my primary h8 AGM battery 2 a Northstar group 31 AGM battery 2 a 50 farad capacitor then to the amp powered by a singer 390 amp alternator however it kept popping a 500 amp circuit breaker. I recently purchased 2/0 OFHC wire from GP car audio and plan on making two runs from my primary battery to my secondary battery and then use dual amp inputs to make two runs to the capacitor and amplifier. Hopefully it will quit popping my circuit breaker. I purchased the RP 4500 because so many manufacturers over rate the power of their amplifiers however skar definitely under-rated the power on this thing. I had it dynoed at 5164 watt RMS at 14.2 volt. I would recommend this amplifier to anyone serious about their audio system they just have to make sure they have high-quality wire with a serious charging system ... show more

Have this SKAR RP 4500.1D amp for a couple months now and still no issue. have it running on 2 orion hcca 10" with rms power at 2000 watts each. The amp plays the subs with no pressure, barely even gets warm. This amp is underrated. I am running it at 14.2 volts with secondary battery.
