🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

Most reviews of this amplifier are favorable, with users expressing overall satisfaction with the power output and build quality. Many users, including a professional installer, praised it as a power house for its price. They also mention the amplifier's thermodynamic proficiency, finding it stays cool even in high-temperature situations. However, some users reported sensitivity with the gain and issues with the amplifier's power demand.

Pros

  • 🔊 Powerful output capability and is worth the price according to reviewers.
  • 🌡️ Stays cool even under intense use and high temperature conditions.
  • 🔧 Quality build and durability, capable of handling multiple subs without clipping.
  • ⚡ Performs well even under considerable usage and has a protective feature against power surges.

Cons

  • ⚖️ Amplifier's gain is sensitive and may require careful management.
  • 💡 Hefty power demands, so make sure your vehicle's electrical system can accomodate it.
  • 🔌 May require additional components (like a Y-adapter or additional wiring) depending on your setup.

Should I Buy It?

If you have a car audio system that requires a powerful amplifier, this product seems to be a good choice. Bear in mind that it is power-hungry, so evaluate your vehicle's power system to ensure it can handle the amplifier's demands. Considering the mostly positive reviews and its excellent power output, it's a purchase worth considering.

  • Great Amp
Great amp, got it to power my Kicker Quad box, 4800w max, fans work great to keep it cool, very quiet. Keeps the sound crisp

  • Good amplifier
I run a bunch of these in a car audio build, six of them to be exact and they do great I only use these under hard use and abuse they work well, I have only had one blow and it was due to vibration while it was on my wall, this is the best value amplifier out their

  • Budget amplifier.
I love Taramps. I upgraded to this from the smart 3k. It works great so far. I have it powered by a 300 Amp alternator and a 56Ah lithium headway Bank. The dual power and ground inputs are nice. It will fit a 2/0 gauge wire. The fans are a bit noisy when powering up and down but not bad when running. The shipping packaging was horrible. It was just loose in a box sliding around with no protective packaging whatsoever. How it got here in one piece is unknown to me, but it made it. I will update when I get some more play time at .5 ohm. At 1 ohm it is stable. Great buy. Update: 2 weeks of play time I heard two loud pops and it went into protect at 1 ohm. Had to return it. When it died it was running at a barely audible volume level. I will buy an Orion HCCA DSPLX 3k. They put out 5 to 6k. They take almost a month to refund the purchase apparently. So I get to drive around with no music and miss all the bass wars competitions for a month. It didn't take that long for them to take it out of my account at the time if purchase though. ... show more

  • Insane amplifiers
First of all I’m a professional installer for over 20 years, I have many reputable and high end brands I’m able to get at dealer cost yet I am willing to pay full retail for these amps. Why would I do that? They are absolute power houses and they run so cool compared to any and every Korean, USA design amp (I don’t have A/C and even when it’s 100 outside these amps don’t go thermal, the longest any of my other amps would play with similar conditions is 15-20 min). Currently I have two smart 5 bass running 4 sundown X v.3 10’s each amp is wired to .5 ohm. I have sufficient electrical with two XS power titan8 batteries and a mechman elite 370A alternator . It stays above 13v. Once you go Brazilian you dont go back ... show more

  • Absolutely a beast for the money
This amp has been well worth every penny I spent on it. A true 5000 watt rms amp from any other company would cost well over $1000. I've got it pushing four 1100 watt rms subs with ease and haven't had it clip even one time! It is a little power hungry though. I've got a 320 amp alternator and three 50ah agm batteries and its still not enough electrical power. ... show more

  • Yes!
If your wondering if this is enough for 2 x15v3s yes it is. It pounds them hard with no clipping. I wouldn't want to push them any harder then this will.

  • Not all it's cracked up to be.
I'd buy the MD amps over the smart Line any day. The smart series amplifiers by taramps have to have a lot more power to run than the MD line or hd line. Although it's 5000 watts you will need power for 10000 watts. The amplifier also will throttle your bass. Personally I hated it. I upgraded my electrical to accommodate the amplifier and it still did not work properly. I think there are much better options out there. That is all ... show more
