I lost my original Stihl wrench and had been fumbling with regular hand tools for months before I finally made myself go buy a new Stihl one. The right tool for the job always makes life easier. It's a little pricey in my opinion, but for me it was worth it not to have to hassle with ratchet, socket, and a screwdriver every time I need to adjust the blade tension.
