Friends: For a Stihl chainsaw I would not buy any cutting chain but the ones from Stihl. The cutting bar has the specific chain to use stamped into the metal. This is the only " For Sure " way to buy the correct chain. We are living on a 1640 acre horse ranch in the remote Sangre de Cristo mountain range of Colorado. We use chainsaws year round not just for cutting firewood in the Autumn. At an elevation of over 9000 feet the Stihl Farm Boss is the smallest size to have enough horsepower. A high quality OEM chain that cuts really well. Most of the cutting that I do is dead red oak and chestnut oak; hard wood. I have been using them for well over ten years. (Not the same chain, but the same part number.) They can be re-sharpened quite a few times.
