I've been sitting in this chair for an hour now, initial thoughts are decent. The seat cushion is incredible, super comfortable and pretty. The back rest is a nice shape and keeps me sitting upright but is made out of a rather hard plastic, I wish it was mesh. Packaging was not very nice, one wheel of the chair was sticking out of the box. I will be sticking with this chair as opposed to returning it. ONE WEEK UPDATE: The chair is great! The backrest has grown on me as I've adjusted my sitting position. If you are coming from a not very nice chair (like my old amazon basics chair) then expect to have to adjust your posture for this one, but also I guess that's the point. I have noticed that the arm rests, although strong, are rather wiggly a move left to right when my arm is on them. Also, if you enjoy super soft back rests, this really isn't the chair for you. The backrest is hard, make sure you are expecting that. Great chair! Only wish it was slightly cheaper. ... show more

Steelcase has a reputation for quality chairs. In the past, we have found them to be very comfortable. The seat is extra firm and not at all comfortable. In addition, the armrest was damaged (had a huge dent in it). Other than the armrest, which could have been an anomaly, the chair is sturdy and well-constructed, but the seat is much too firm. ... show more

-Just got this chair. It does NOT have the adjustable lumbar advertised on the Steelcase website, and the amazon page led me to believe it was a standard feature. -The packaging was awful! Box looked like it went through a war zone, all the parts were just thrown in there and some of the casters were just loose in the box. the chair was covered in dust and grime, very disappointing. -It was very easy to assemble, no tools required and took about three minutes. -No opinion on ergonomics or comfort yet, I'll update later. ... show more

A very strong and sturdy chair. My previous chair was more comfortable, but it began to deteriorate after a few years. I need a chair that will hold the height I set for the entire day. Assembly was easy and quick. I'm very pleased with the Steelcase product. I tried to make my rating 4.5 but couldn't. I received no instructions on how to register for the warranty. When I contacted Steelcase, they wanted my credit card information and charge it $55 just to answer my question about registering for the warranty. That's outrageous! really this is a Steel Case..? is so uncomfortable in my opinion arm rests are so hard... back support...way too low does not cover the top area Just assembled...which i could give it back right now

I have had a painful hamstring pull and my old chair was making it much worse. Tried new cushions, but they didn’t help. Read a lot of online reviews and rankings of chairs best for my problem and this one was the winner. It is the winner for me too. I’ve had to sit at my desk chair a lot for video since COVID and this is the first time I’ve been at all comfortable. I got it in pink because it was $100 cheaper. LOL. There is a knockoff model at Staples that might work as well and is several hundred dollars cheaper, but I didn’t want to try yet another chair and have it not work so I went with this one. ... show more
