  • Comfortable, easy to use, nice adjustments
Color: Royal Blue Style: Carpet Casters Pattern Name: Chair
Note: As pictured i've added larger carpet casters (not included) - I'd highly recommend these for carpeted offices to avoid having to deal with the hassle of a chair mat. I've tried over a dozen different office chairs, and only 2 or 3 have met my expectations - and this is one of them. A few features that I appreciate: - The armrests have a good range of motion for height adjustments, some chairs the minimum armrest height is too low. These ones go as low as I want, and they are easy to adjust (which I do when I switch tasks from typing to gaming) - The armrests are "free floating" so they move around as your elbows move. Some reviewers complained about this, but I actually like it. - The seat height and angle adjustment is good and easy - set it once and forget it. - The seat cushion is very comfortable - supportive and firm, but not punishing. I can sit in this chair for 12 hours and not get sore (although I wouldn't want to do that often) - The only part I'm not in love with is the back adjustment. It has 3 adjustments for how much tension on the recline function. I'd prefer the infinitely adjustable, or at least more intermediate settings. I've settled on the middle setting, but it still feels maybe 10% too firm, while the loose setting is WAY to unsupportive. Overall very happy - one of the best office chairs I've owned to date. And for the price, as far as premium office chairs go, it's a good value. ... show more

  • Really, really good. Armrests are hard as rocks, though.
Color: Graphite Style: Carpet Casters Pattern Name: Chair
Very comfortable. Lots of adjustments so you can find the right fit. Been using mine a lot. Been using one for 18 months and one for 6 months. Still look new. I'm 6'1" 250lbs so this chair has not had the easiest life. Very sturdy. Only downside is that the armrests are hard as rocks. Your elbows are going to get sore... fast. However, that is easily fixable with aftermarket armrest covers. Lots of options if you search for "Neoprene Chair Arm Pad Covers" or similar. I tried a few and these are the best blend of fit and comfort. Unlike some of the others they look like they are part of the chair and not some weird aftermarket thing. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BXBQ5AI I'm torn about giving this five stars. One one hand... it's not cheap, and this is a lot of money to pay for something with rock hard arm rests. On the other hand... it's easy to fix and even if you pay a few bucks for the aftermarket arm rests... this is STILL a bargain compared to other high end office chairs which are easily over 1K dollars. Let me put it this way... after buying the first one I was happy to buy a second. That's the ultimate endorsement right? ... show more

  • With a Little Added Cushioning, its Great
Color: Concord Style: Carpet Casters Pattern Name: Chair
I wanted to upgrade my office chair, and I kept hearing about how good Steelcase chairs are. This chair is hit or miss with people, but I saw that more petite people like it more. I'm about 5'3" and 135 lbs, so I figured I'd try it, as it's at a more accessible price point than other Steelcase models. I love the modern look of it. I got it in purple, and it matches the decor in my office. I also love how adjustable it is. The armrests mostly stay in place as I work, and I can shift them around when I feel achy. I don't use the recline feature, but I see how people would have wanted a fixed recline. I like to sit with crisscross legs occasionally, and I can do this on this chair at my size, but I do put a stool in front of me to give my legs more room. Where it lacks is cushioning and lumbar support. I have had to buy/make a few things to modify it to make it more comfortable—first, are pads for the armrests, which are very hard. The second is a thin gel seat pad because the seat pan is also very firm. I found that a thicker one threw off the chair's ergonomics. However, even with a thin pad, I still need something to put my feet on for proper foot/leg position, even at the lowest seat setting. Luckily, I have an under-desk footrest for this purpose. The third is a lumbar support pillow, as the lumbar support on this chair is worthless for me. A sliding bar in the back has this weird texture that feels uncomfortable. I saw some people stick a small pillow between the mesh and the bar to fix it, but that didn't work for me as it also didn't come up high enough for my body. Since I sew, I made a small lumbar pillow in the exact size and support level I needed. With these extras, the chair is very comfortable for working and supports me well. ... show more

  • Nice chair
Color: Scarlet Style: Carpet Casters Pattern Name: Chair
Good: Just about everything. Attractive design; easy to assemble; reasonably lightweight; easy to adjust; well-ventilated; comfortable in extended use; good price relative to similar chairs. Bad: The tops of the armrests move forward and back, left and right, very easily, with no way to lock them in place. More annoying than useful. The recliner allegedly has three settings plus lock. I can find no difference in the settings, all three let the back recline with too little pressure. I ended up locking the back in place. Bottom line: This replaced a 30-year-old midrange office chair that was on its last legs. Even allowing for age, the difference in adjustability and "sit" is obvious. Plus, this one doesn't creak every time I move. It isn't an Aeron, but it's closer than the one-third-the-price tag would suggest. I'm happy with it. Five stars. ... show more
