These fit both; classic ladder-back, but the low back and wide seats give more of a Norwegian / modern vibe. These were shipped via UPS, are very sturdy, arrived fully assembled, packaged very well to protect while in-transit. They may seem a little pricey compared to other options, but you get what you pay for. These chairs support up to 400 lbs. while many chairs I shopped only went up to 250 lbs. I cannot say enough about these chairs! I ordered them even though there were only a few reviews and was scared I was going to end up with buyers remorse, but I am surprisingly impressed at the size and overall quality of this product, especially for the price. I ordered 4 which I received today and decided to get rid of the slipcovered parsons chairs I had at the ends of my table and ordered 2 more of these today. I’ve only had them for a day so I can’t tell you about the longevity, but I’ve bought enough furniture to know if something is going to fall apart in a few months. Buy them! These chairs are great quality. They are delivered already assembled so saves you the trouble- just unwrap and enjoy the comfort. They are well made and I suggest them with a natural wood colored table (like mine) or a black table.

I chose these chairs specifically for the color. I have a custom walnut table, and I wanted to find something that matched the wood color of my table, and these are about as perfect as I can possibly get without having custom chairs made, so I’m thrilled! As another reviewer mentioned, the walnut is more of a lighter vintage walnut color, (more like a honey cherry) not the typical deep cool brown that you usually associate with walnut. The chairs are cute, appear to be pretty sturdy, and I’m hopeful they’ll last awhile! I do have 3 boys so time will tell lol ... show more

I really liked these chairs but the ‘nature’ color doesn’t look like the pictures or the video that is posted. I was looking for a light wood, honey tone and these have red in them.

The first thing I really enjoyed was that these chairs were fully assembled on arrival. The workmanship is first rate and I love the woven rattan seats. I bought "new' black with a light colored seat and they are very striking. At Christmas dinner my guests commented on how comfortable they were. They don't look like they would be particularly comfortable, but they are. The chair back is lightly curved to fit your back and the seats are soft and comfortable even as we sat for a couple hours after dinner reminiscing. Highly recommend! ... show more

I ordered in the "New Black" & natural seat combo. I think they're a chic look for the price. I do have guilt pangs when I'm not buying US-made, Fair Trade, etc., as well as supporting the Amazon machine--but they apparently didn't override my need for the instant design gratification these provided! 2 things: I just tested a small section inside a lower stretcher re: Would a couple of light passes w/fine steel wool made me like the factory finish-shiny thing less? They did. Will protect the woven material before I do them--black dust might be hard to get out of there. Secondly I may seal the woven material for protection; not sure if this stuff darkens like rush over time, or if it's already coated in something protective, will read about how they're made. I'd like a light honey ish kind of color. Anyway, even without any mods at all I like them very much. Lightweight but sturdy, transitional without being too farmhouse-y. A good buy. ... show more
