Be warned that these are micro pieces, much smaller than a standard Lego. I knew this going in and was still surprised at how small it really was. However, it was a challenging build, and really fun to do. If you like Star Wars, it’s a great conversation piece. The directions were incredibly well done, I actually prefer them to Lego instructions. The way they show it from above and the side was great.

As an AFOL and builder since my childhood in the early 1970s I can be kind of picky about my bricks. I also appreciate a good deal on them as well because Lego has become everyone new hobby and the cost of them is ludicrous. I have started enjoying this other brand sets and this my first TG Blocks set and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I did not find the bricks to small as they are smaller that standard Lego and they snapped together really nice and tight. This thing came together SOLID! Just for mini brick comparison I have the FOCO Arrowhead Stadium and quite frankly I love the look and WILL NEVER PURCHASE one of those builds it was so hard to build, unstable, cheap and loose fitting bricks, and just overall horrible instructions. This set was awesome in l of those areas and reminded me of building a CADA or Mould King Vehicle Set as compared to off brand LEGO. This most likely will not be my last TG Blocks set and I am hunting for a reasonably priced Shadow Bow and Lighting Kit to make this set look fantastic

First thing to know is that these are NOT compatible with Lego, as they are only aboit 2/3 the size of Lego bricks. The pieces are tiny, so keep this in mind. Overall, I'm very happy with this kit. Only downside was one critical piece missing for the X-Wing.

These are micro bricks. I didn’t know that when I ordered it because I’m terrible about looking for that in a description. Looked at the photos, saw it hanging on a wall, and immediately thought it must be standard bricks. When I got the package, I was very disappointed because it was micro bricks. But it just looked too cool to send it back. I decided to go ahead and do it and hate every second of doing it just so I could have the finished result. This has been my favorite build ever. Bar none. There are 10 small base plates which easily connect to one another so that there is not any overwhelm. Each base plate has multiple different steps and two pictures from different angles so that any questions you have about positioning angled pieces requires no more than a look at the other photograph to decipher. After each section was completed the thrill that I got lookin at it is something I’ve not experienced before. The end result is phenomenal. My nephew (in his 30’s) came over to visit last night and went crazy. I told him I was glad he liked it because he was getting one for his birthday. About halfway through the build, I decided it was too good not to share and ordered another for him. The price is fantastic and the build is absolutely amazing. You will absolutely not be disappointed with this product.

This is an excellent set. I just finished it and, while the pieces are smaller than their more popular counterpart, they're not too small to enjoy. They fit together just as tight and give you plenty of spares--since you'll probably lose a few if you try to rush through this set. The final product looks exactly as I expected. I'm very happy to display the "Star Trench". A couple of important notes before you start building this set: 1) Early on, get familiar with what the pieces look like from the top-down view. The instructions do give an angled view, but it can be hard sometimes if there are pieces behind others, while the top-down perspective works really well once you understand orientation and how the slightly bolder line separates the newly added pieces. 2) The instructions don't tell you when to open each bag, but there is a system to it. As you go through the book, you'll find that it's designed in 5 columns of 2 bases and they have you piece those base sets together before connecting each of those sets of 2. The bags correspond to these bases, so bags labeled "1" are the first set of 2, bags "2" are for the next set, and so on. Then bags "6" are the frame and 7, the ships. If you follow this format, you'll have a few spare pieces at the end of each set and I threw those in a ziplock bag just in case I needed them but never did. 3) Make sure to set aside the specific pieces for each step before you start. This helps SO MUCH! Since the instructions can give you lots of pieces at a time and with only 2 perspectives, making sure you have all the pieces ready makes it easy to figure out when you are missing a piece or perhaps forgot one in a rush. I missed a piece here and there because I tried to grab and go early on, but I learned my lesson quickly. Every time I prepped the step, I never forgot a piece and it felt satisfying to move to the next step. Enjoy this one!

This is a difficult review because I truly had a mixed experience with it. First off, this is a really fun build and great for colorblind people. The detail is great and it is cool to see it come together. But... then I reached the final panel. It then became very frustrating. I should've been forewarned that trouble was coming by the amount of leftover pieces thus far, but it is common to have some pieces that were mistakenly added. I'm guessing that they neglected to put in a bag of parts for the last panel. I tried looking to see if there was a way to get the missing pieces, but I was unsuccessful. Unfortunately, I already threw out the numbered bags, but I believe the missing parts would have come from a bag 5, and I think there were two bags. I'm guessing the third bag 5 had the parts I needed. It would have been simple to return it if they were in the original packaging. So, as much of a pain as it is, make sure all of the parts are there before you rip open the bags. Update: I managed to use the leftover pieces to fill in the missing section. It is not what it is supposed to look like, but it works.

This took two all-nighters to complete. I purposely assembled it very slowly because it is very easy to lose these tiny pieces. Once a piece falls to the floor, it's gone forever. I did not lose any pieces. The model turned out perfect. Several pieces that seemed missing were all found in bag 5--no big deal. Toward the end, instructions called for a square piece but there were only two rectangulars to be used side by side in the shape of a square--no big deal. Tweezers (not included) mandatory. Update: At the very end, when constructing the x-wing spaceship, the thick end of the clear rod needs to be super glued to one of the dot pieces, with exactly one drop of super glue--no big deal. Then the dot piece can snap in or out of the spaceship, if the builder desires to remove it later on. Only use one drop of super glue. These instructions are omitted in the booklet. The one drop of super glue is only necessary for hanging on the wall.

Such fun to put together. Now it sets on display in our entertainment cabinet! I debated for about a month on whether to get the Le90 SW logo set for display or this one. I’m happy with my choice. The pieces are tiny so you may need readers or a magnifier to put it together. And only on a very tidy work station. We used bowls to keep the pieces from rolling away. It comes with numbered bags and directions that you must follow. Then you can top it off how you like once the base is set.
