    • Not bad if you need a hanging heater
This heater is adequate for taking a little chill off of anybody who sits underneath it. It doesn't really heat up the surrounding area in your gazebo or room, but it works pretty well for a passive heat source. It's nice that it's quiet and warms you up if you sit under it. For our gazebo, I didn't want a heater on the floor so this was a good option. It arrived one day earlier than expected, which was a nice surprise. As for some slightly concerning issues... The remote control has a plastic tab protruding from the battery compartment, but when you pull the plastic tab out it still won't allow the remote to work because there is no battery included! That's really weird and I noticed other reviewers who think the remote doesn't work. It worked fine after buying a battery (CR2025) and inserting it. Also, the heating elements are so bright that it really lights up your living space, much more than I care for. The heating elements put out more light than the included LED light in the heater. I also imagine we will see an increase in our electric consumption when using this heater. I noticed I tripped my circuit twice if I have many other devices running while this heater is running. Overall, I will keep it because it does work fairly well and I live in the south where we don't get much cold weather. If it ever dies, I may try a different product next time. ... show more

Right out of the box you can tell this is a superior product to the cheaper competition. Uses robust parts and I expect this one will actually last. The competition relies on really cheap pull switches which usually fail in just a few months. Very happy so far with this purchase.

We love this heater! I've had for a week or two and just got it put up on the 20th. So far so good, is the phrase that leaps to mind. It looks nice and feels nice! I especially like the touch control! It works very well and doesn't seem overly sensitive. The remote doesn't work but I don't care. I pulled the little plastic tab out. I checked the battery but still a no-go. Again, don't care. I do think I have it up too high. The booklet says I can lower it to 71" from heater to floor, so I'll do that so we can feel the warmth a little better. Otherwise, I/we have no complaints! I look forward to spending more time under the gazebo in the cooler AZ weather! By the way, the ghostly, smokey wave in the pic wasn't caused by the heater. ... show more

This is the 5th heater I have bought for my garage...and it has been a dream! The heat was instant. The only assembly is the eye hook and I already had one in the ceiling, so I didn't have to assemble anything. I literally hooked the hooks on the chain, plugged it in and it was done. No battery for the remote so make sure you get that! The light doesn't put out a great deal of light but it is helpful. I am really thrilled with this purchase. ... show more

This works well on my screened in porch. I shelter and feed stray cats that have been TNRd. The remote control is not the greatest, but the unit is great.
