  • Excellent high-quality thermostat
Used it in my Mazda B2600i. Replaced it when I installed a new radiator and wanted a 180 degree instead of the 195 thermostat. I would say that the temperature needle on my Mazda goes to about 1/4 vs 1/3 for the 195 degree thermo. I decided to go lower as the truck is older and I feel like the extra heat is unnecessary on such an old engine. I was worried about gas mileage but found that my gas mileage actually slightly increased after installing this thermostat. Great product! ... show more

  • Does what it says
----Old review---- After reading the amazing words in the description about the performance of this part compared to the oem, I expected that my problem with engine overheating has come to an end. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. It does its job of accelerating the engine worm up well, but, on long journeys, the heat of the engine rises and the coolant vaporizes and escapes out of the coolant reservoir. I had to uninstall it from my car. This makes my car take sometime to worm, but it never overheat. I would not recommend this part to anyone, and I will not buy this brand again. ----Modified Review---- I was wrong about the thermostat in the review above. My cooling circuit needed cleaning, and after I cleaned it, the thermostat is working just fine. I have been using it for approximately a year and a half with no problems. ... show more

  • A good OEM replacement for Mazda Miata
I was fixing a Mazda Miata and needed a thermostat for OEM replacement, and these seem to be pretty good, and it’s working well within a few months now. Only time will tell how long it will last, but so far it looks pretty good and last a few months now. It’s always a good idea to do a test before you install it into your engine. I have seen thermostat that fail right out the box. For the price these are very budget friendly and I wouldn’t mind buying them again. ... show more

  • Works great!
Exact fit on a 1990 Dodge Daytona v6. It keeps the car in the lower 1/4 of the tenp gauge for the most part, especially on cooler days. No complaints!

  • 1999 Mazda MX-5 Miata
DOES NOT FIT This thermostat is larger than the outgoing one. It would not seat into the housing. Now I need to purchase a different one. Old one is in the right. The groove on this one seems to cause the issue.

  • Working great in the hot Arizona area
Working great in the hot Arizona area. Warms up fast and keeps a little cooler than other thermostat. Fit perfectly in my 1990 Miata. Check the listings to make sure fits your car. I seem to have to replace thermostats here in the hot desert about every 2 to 3 years. The older thermostats would intermittently start to fail to open and stick closed or partially closed causing high temperatures when outside air above 90 degrees or so. We'll have to see if one will last longer than the others. ... show more

  • Drop in fit fir ZG1000
This is a 180F degree thermostat. I used it in place of the OEM 195F in a ZG1000 Concours. Firs fine, and makes a small but noticeable improvemwnt to the shin baking fan exhaust.

  • Not factory specified temperature unit!
This thermostat is a 180 degree part, NOT the factory OEM spec of 195 degrees. This in not listed in the description of the part. This may not matter to some users, but can mess up the fuel injection and/or timing settings as set by the ECU when monitoring the coolant temps. For me, I ordered another, correct 195 degree thermostat for my car. This one with go in my "Emergency" kit for a "just in case" situation. ... show more
