The Wonder Pole can be installed anywhere that poses a fall risk. The rotating grab bar provides leverage and support to sit, stand, or balance without caregiver assistance. Where can I install the Wonder Pole? The Wonder Pole can be installed anywhere there is a flat floor and flat ceiling, including the bathroom, bedroom. living room, and kitchen. The Wonder Pole cannot be used inside of a bathtub or shower, on a loose rug, or on a vaulted ceiling. Can the Wonder Pole be adjusted to fit different ceiling heights? Yes, the Wonder Pole is height adjustable to fit flat ceilings between 7 ft. and 9 ft. 6 in. tall. Does the Wonder Pole mount to the floor or ceiling? The Wonder Pole installs using tension between the floor and ceiling, no drilling required. For additional security, hardware is included to hard-mount the pole to the floor and ceiling if desired, but is not required. How does the tension mounted design work? The tension mounted design works by tightening a threaded nut to extend the upper section of the pole and exert upward force toward the ceiling. The good: Incredibly sturdy Easy to use and adjust the grab bar (turn and lock) Looks great Ceiling was unharmed after removing (had up for 2 months) The negative, but worked though: We have 10ft ceilings and extending that far made it a bit wobbly, no unstable or dangerous. It could have been used that way. I simply drilled a few cross holes and tightened up lash with a few through bolts. Overall, if you have 8-9ft ceilings, this is great out of the box. 10ft, you may want to modify a bit. You have to keep an open mind when ordering a product that is so versatile and at such an affordable price. I'm not saying you get what you pay for, because competing products that are specific to ceiling height were 2-4x the cost. Not even in the same ballpark. This product is fantastic for the cost and I definitely recommend and would order again. ... show more

I bought this to help me for when the hip decides to not work and I have had this pole for over a year now. Absolutely LOVE IT!!! It was very easy to install, very strong and has literally saved me on multiple occasions. If you have any issues with balance and support to stay upright on your own, you must get one of these poles. They are fabulous to grab and will hold you up till you get your footing. The movable handle option is a real plus. I cannot say enough of how much I love mine and I will be putting these poles in the places that I struggle the most with a fractured hip. Easy to assemble for a 75 year old single woman. I'm having problems with my knees and wanted something to help me up off the toilet, then I realized I could place the pole so I would be able to use it to get out of the shower too. The s bar moves very easy so I can change direction to use to step out of the shower. Fits my 7' 8" ceiling which was a plus, just read all instructions first if you have low ceiling because you need to remove one part of the bar. ... show more

Installed bar at shower door for stability’ and safety in transfer of family member to get to shower from bar on wall to ease my aging back from bearing her weight. Instructions good- family member weight of 105 lbs and 5’2 height special needs. I have a shower chair yet to be delivered that has a chair mounted on a tract - so she can just sit down at the shower entry and i lift her feet and weight of her sitting will glide into shower. Both were pricy but any of us as we age could use them. Cheaper than fall or disc injury! I didn’t secure bar to the floor as it was tight fit- 8 foot ceiling to linoleum floor. She is small but will see if need to secure- she isn’t pulling on it — bar stabilizes and gives a sense of security to her. CAUTION: as put bars together they can pinch your finger so beware- Also couple of parts were not on instructions nor included on the diagram! I called the customer service and clear prompt directed me to customer service and talked to a live person who answered pleasantly, identified herself , could be understood, included name of the company. I had my directions in front of me so when she helped me I could understand the numbered items where she was guiding me. The unnamed parts were 4 plastic halved, grooved inserts and white plastic hollow cylinder. The plastic halves fit together and have thick end and thin end . Match those one above grab and one below watching direction . We put thicker end facing the ceiling and lower 2 thicker end toward the floor. There is a white non numbered plastic sleeve that fits OVER POLE #2. It easily slides up as tighten threads and then drops over exposed threads. The plastic halves will advance into poles as tighten nut #8 with included wrench. VERY well made and I chose it because the pull pin will allow the curved bar to be multidirectional! Great feature and a deciding factor as it was more expensive, but SO helpful for us! Amazon delivered and I recognized immediately from gray duct tape and added clear tape it was a return that I got- the poles were loose and small scratch on one pole but small. Fortunately the return box had all item parts included in a hefty ziplock bag as well as directions. Thus the 4 star was for poor return repackaging and for parts included but not explained. I really needed a hand hold inside our shower for my wife to use. I contemplated using wall mounts but did not want to have to drill through the tile wall. I found this device and ordered it. The product arrived on time and in as described condition. Simple instructions and the included wrench made this installation quick and easy. I was able to try it in a couple of different places before settling on the bed one for her use. While every one refers to it as a stripper pole…it does the trick for grandma getting up and getting oriented. I didn’t get the white because I didn’t want a hospital look. I think it’s brilliant. It is very adjustable (the hand rail can be moved around) and is firmly secured between ceiling and floor.
