These are the best. Hard to find these days. Anything below this price point is Chinese garbage. St. Croix backs the product but you won't likely ever need a repair or replacement. I have the 6'6" medium 4 piece and the 5'6" ultra light 4 piece. Both are great backcountry smallmouth set ups.

I am extremely disappointed in St. Croix. I have always heard of how nice their rods but have never spent the money till now. After receiving the rod and opening the package only to find absolutely no packing materials to protect the rod while shipping. I knew right then and there that my rod would be broken. Sure enough it was. If this is how the manufacturer likes to send their product then they can keep their product! ... show more
