Upon opening the package I was pleased by the quality. The first day I filled it up. Worked great for a few houses. Then I find out if it is full, the top separates randomly. It separates when held by the handle while full. I had to use a small screw to secure it.

    • Smalls are a bit too small
Got this to make it easier to spread ice melt during the winter. It's easy to open and put together. It could feel a bit more solid in the handle portion, but it's still manageable when the container is full. The holes are too small though for Joe Snow Ice melt. I have to turn it to the two largest openings before anything can come out to spread. Still, easier than spreading by hand or with another open container. Not sure if it's worth the price though. ... show more

This could be 5 stars if the top would come off to fill the spreader with ease. As it is now you have to pick up the bag or bucket and pour the salt into the spreader with the spreader on it's most open setting. It's not really ideal. Plus it's messy if you are trying to fill it where it's dry and you don't really want the salt spread. It works, but could be better. ... show more

    • Well made, heavy duty and makes the job of spreading salt in winter easier.
The SPREI spreader does what it claims to do. It's made of heavy-duty plastic and has held up well. I live in the frozen north, and this makes the job of spreading salt around on the steps and walkway much easier. I'm pleased with this purchase.

Super easy to use! I have little kids who love to help outside so I needed something that a 4 year old could figure out and this delivered! Lightweight, not bulky. I LOVE that this is a family business as well! Great job!
