Description

The Compact table tennis table by Butterfly table tennis is the perfect table for those looking for top value, convenience, and playability. The Butterfly Compact ping pong table requires no assembly and has a 3 year warranty, providing countless hours of fun without the hassle. The 19mm or 16mm top is available in blue or green and is protected by a strong steel frame and attractive magenta corner pieces that perfectly accentuate the top color. The difference between the 19mm and 16mm tables is that the 19mm table has a thicker top and frame. The Butterfly Compact table divides into two equal halves, each half consisting of legs that fold into the top and two wheels are located in the center of each half. This allows for simple maneuverability and compact storage, as the tables are only 3 inches wide when folded and stored together. A Butterfly clip net and post set is provided, which includes a rubber cover on the clamp to avoid damage to the center corners of the table. We wanted to get a table for our basement but didn't want it to take up much/any space when not being used. I found that even the "folding" tables were mostly about 24" to 30" wide when folded for storage. There was also a model that folded into fourths and fit in a closet, but it has that annoying seam right down the middle of each side that would hamper play. Then we found this table. It's extremely sturdy when open. The surface is thick and play is excellent. The best part is, when you are done playing, the two halves fold up and store together in about 4" of space! The negatives we've found are: - The halves are relatively heavy, so it's not as handy as a free wheeling table. (although there are "skateboard wheels" that make it pretty easy to move around. - There's really no way to fold one side up and hit against the "backboard". One could place one half of it against a wall (if you have a big open wall) but the table doesnt provide its own backstop as some do. - Because it's pretty heavy and the halves store flat against each other, they need to be somehow secured when in storage or it would be easy for it to fall over on someone (a small child). Overall, though, it really met our criteria for what we wanted. I am curious about the 1 star reviews I have seen where the tables allegedly began "falling apart". It seems very well made, but am not sure it would take the abuse of people putting their body weight on it repeatedly or being placed in a really humid environment for long periods of time. I suspect there may be more to some of these negative reviews than is presented..... ... show more

Beautifully Made! I felt really lucky to find this model and make a purchase. Also surprised that the free delivery only took 3 days. Pros: Great value: the rollaway model of similar quality can add $300 more for the folding-up and big wheels. Space saver: much more compact than the regular rollaway models. No assembly: fun starts right way without headache. Personal taste: the bright green top is refreshing compared to regular dark green when placed in basement. Kids like it. Cons: Heavy: With 3/4'' top and sturdy steel frame, even one half is better handled by two regular persons. Pricey: About twice expensive than offers of similar concept from other lesser brands. Some may wonder whether it will worth it. Based on the limited reviews and brand reputation, I went for it without regret. This table can be set up against wall for one-person practice. ... show more

Purchased this table about week ago in the time when preferable to stay home, I am playing tennis with my wife what improve our activity What I can say about product – it is definitely good product and happy to have it It made simple and easy to assemble what takes just about 5-10 minutes to do And disassemble and storing good as well if you storage place on the same level as playground It you have to store table on different level of your home or apartment without elevator it will be a problem because each half of the table pretty heavy and will be a real problem to move it up and down Design of the table is very good, I would say quality of manufacturing should be better What do I mean: some small parts like brackets and hinges made from chip steel and must be used very careful during assemble because it bands very easy but anyway overall satisfaction is very high to me and I am happy to have this table ... show more

I've been playing ping pong for decades on many tables set up at many different ping pong clubs, tournaments centers, schools and homes. This particular table, although not nearly as expensive as higher-end models, is just as strong and just as playable, and the bounce is true. There is NO assembly. Just take it out of the box and unfold the two support structures. Takes about 2 minutes. Butterfly is a great brand, and makes many more expensive tables ofcourse, but even for a seasoned, competitive player, this table is 100% adequate. Considering all these factors, the relatively low price of the table is pleasantly surprising, and makes the buy a very good value. ... show more

I would give this product a "Zero" Star if possible. This is a terrible product. I purchased this product about 4 months ago and we use it only 10 time the most so far. Today the table fell apart from the middle. If my kids were playing at that time, they would have been hurt fore sure. This is an unsafe product. I have submitted a form requesting the manufacturer to look into the issue to see if they should recall. ... show more

While the COVID-19 pandemic rages we opted to make our 'Stay Home, Stay Safe' time far more enjoyable by adding some indoor recreation. The Butterfly Compact 19 is a table that fits well into our life as it can be stored in our extra deep coat closet when not in use. It came smartly packaged to protect it completely and thoroughly from damage during shipping. As mentioned in other reviews, set-up was amazingly simple and fast! This is a high quality, sturdy table, with a perfectly level solid playing surface, an easy to put up net with tensioners plus the lovely blue color makes it easy to see the white ball in flight. If I had to find any fault with it, the only thing I could say is you might see a tiny bit of over-spray from the white painted lines, but really you'd have to look closely. After playing table tennis daily since delivery I realize that the Butterfly Compact 19 would be my choice of tables even if we had ample storage in our home.
