I was looking to buy a pair of 1 inch 45 lb weight plates and this brand caught my attention due to the affordable prices. However though, the reviews made me feel a little hesitant at first. I decided to move forward with buying the pair of 1 inch 45 lb weight plates and they've exceeded my expectations so far. My first concern was would the plates arrive in good condition? Well, the plates arrived in a well-sealed cardboard box and were also wrapped in bubble wrap. Upon opening them, the plates appeared in solid shape with no visible damage or chipping. My second concern based on reviews was would they fit my 1 inch barbell? Thankfully, both plates fit on my barbell without any issues. Loading and unloading the plates is a smooth and easy task. Note that this is my experience with the 1 inch 45 lb plates so I'm not sure if there are any quality control issues with the other variations but for this option, it's a solid winner in my book. ... show more

I only got one of these and didn’t get it to use on a barbell bar so can’t say how it works for that use. I use it for HIIT workouts that I want to add some weight to intensify the movement. Since I usually grip the openings to hold the weight during exercises I noticed that the spacing between the openings seems to be a bit off from weights I use at the gym. Could be because it’s more compact than the 25lb weight I’m use to but in any case, it’s not a deal breaker for me and doesn’t effect my form or cause any unnecessary pain. Still something to keep in mind if you happen to be particular about how you hold it. So far I have used it for exercises like weighted overhead sit ups, goblet or jumping squats, skiers, lunges and ab side bends with no problems. Have dumbbells but like to mix it up. 4 stars because a small piece of the paint coating got chipped during shipping. Probably partially because of packaging but I’m sure the delivery person wasn’t too happy with having to lift it so he/she could have mishandled it. I put some grey duck tape on it so it matches and it’s good as new. No worst for wear and no hard feelings:-). ... show more

Similar diameter to my VTX plates. Accurate weight at 25#. Just a tad thinner in height with less room for the spotter's hands to peel off the plates on burnouts, but I'm very happy overall with these. Will definitely consider buying other weights as needed...
