I purchased this binding machine for producing instruction manuals for the electronic kits I build and sell. After using it to bind several manuals, I can say it gives the finished product a much more professional appearance than stapled pages or sheet protectors. The machine feels solid and was straightforward to set up. One thing I really appreciated is that it includes a full box of 100 binding coils, so I was able to start making manuals immediately without ordering additional supplies. The punching mechanism works well, but the advertised 12-sheet capacity is definitely a practical limit, not a suggestion. I tried exceeding that on one of my first attempts, and the machine let me know it wasn't happy. Sticking to the recommended capacity produces clean, consistent holes with much less effort. Once the pages are punched, inserting and crimping the binding coils is easy using the included pliers. The finished manuals lay flat, turn pages smoothly, and have a polished look that my customers immediately notice. My only real complaint is the instruction manual. The printing is extremely small, and I found it much easier to watch a couple of YouTube videos than to decipher the included booklet. Fortunately, the machine itself is simple enough that there's very little to learn once you've seen the basic process. If you're making manuals, presentations, cookbooks, or other documents on a regular basis, this is an excellent way to give them a much more professional finish than staples or three-ring binders. It's a great value for the money.

Machine does not turn on. The machine is hot to the touch and begins to smell like something is burning. Total waste of money AND dangerous as it smells and feels like it’s about to start fire. Horrible scam.

I used this Lumoshine binding machine to put together a genealogy project. It punched the pages cleanly as long as I stayed within the 12 sheet limit, and the finished holes lined up evenly. The bound project looked much more organized and was easier to flip through than loose pages. The included instructions were not very helpful, so I watched a video to understand the coil setup and how to finish the ends. I gave it four stars because it produced a neat, professional looking genealogy book. Better instructions would have made the first setup much easier.

It’s east to use but the coil wheel doesn’t grab the coil to insert into the holes easily. You have to keep moving the coil to find the sweet spot. The punch handle doesn’t stay tight either. It’s just OK. Would not buy this brand again. Look for a different brand.

This arrives super well packed and is on the heavier side. It's definitely not a light weight machine. It comes almost fully ready to go, you just need to attach the handle. While this feels durable and tough, the punching system feels a little rugged. The heaviest thing I've punched so far has been some cardboard, and it felt like it was too much almost. I don't think I'll want to punch a bunch of papers at once just in case, as I don't want to break it (I may be overly concerned). This has only the one punching style available, and you can't change the hole settings. I was hoping for one that I could change the settings on, so I can finally use a bunch of coils I already have on hand, but luckily this machine does come with a big box of coils too!! This is electric only for the coiling system, and it immediately starts spinning once switched on. There's not really any certain way to do it, but I coil the first two holes and then use the machine to spin the rest. It's super fast so you have to be quick to remove it or it'll fling right out the other side. It's seriously fast. So far, I'm happy to have it. It'll be great for making some custom coloring books for my children and some keepsakes!
