Description

This system is compatible with SF/G/SE series grow lights (except SF1000D, SF300, and SF600). The latest clip-on fan and exhaust ventilation kits with RJ12 connectors are required for whole precision control. Why can't my controller connect to inline fans, clip-on fans, or other grow lights? The controller only works with Spider Farmer devices that have an RJ port.Devices without RJ ports (like some fans or grow kits) are not supported. Please use compatible devices with RJ ports for smart control. Why does my controller show “--” for many values? The controller only measures temperature, humidity and VPD. For soil data you need a smart socket, for CO₂ and PPFD you need the SensorPro. What are the conditions for installing the sensors in the individual systems? It is not possible to install sensors of the same function type in one system(Soil Sensor Pro excluded). For example, you can install 6 soil sensor Pro, 1 CO2 sensor, 1 GGS temperature and humidity sensor or GGS Sensor Pro in the same system. How do I connect the GGS control unit to the lights? Connect one end of an RJ12 cable to the “Up” port on the grow light dimmer box and the other end to the “Light” port on the (GGS Light Adapter). Can the GGS control unit be connected to a GGS socket? This is supported. Please note that the built-in controls of the socket are disabled when the two devices are connected. All functions are carried out via the GGS controller or the APP. Impressive... I used to use automation years ago for Salt Water Reef systems. Very crude with lights, timers, and power heads on Christmas tree lighting timers. There were some decent equipment (Salinity, ph, orp,calcium,ect). But on a budget. We didn't have Smart phones back then. I bought some of Spider Farmer's other products yesterday for my 1rst grow tent set up. I'm going to experiment 1rst with my set up (the 36"x36"x72 tent gets delivered tomorrow). Ive been testing and learning plants vrs Saltwater. Not much difference really. Plants are less expensive for a killer set up than Saltwater... I will go Hydroponic going forward after my June 1rst grow . Pics to come later as well ... I do wish the clips on the controller with the straps were more robust. They are very thin. But thats my only change I would like so far ? Once it's all set up physically, you bluetooth into the app and do it all in there anyway. So? They make a grid type board to tie all your cords and things too,,, but I made my own. I like my cords organized and out of harms way... ... show more

I recently purchased the Spider Farmer Controller, and I’m happy to say it works great! However, I did run into a minor issue initially when trying to connect it to my Spider Farmer SF 4000 light, which I purchased back in 2020. The controller wasn’t recognizing the light, and I wasn’t sure why. I reached out to the Spider Farmer support team at [email protected], and Hazel was incredibly helpful. She quickly identified the issue: my older version of the SF 4000 light only had an RJ11 connection, while the controller required an RJ12 cable. Without hesitation, Spider Farmer overnighted me an RJ11 cable at no additional cost, and it solved the problem perfectly. I’m really impressed with the quality of the controller and the exceptional customer service I received. Hazel and the Spider Farmer team went above and beyond to ensure everything worked smoothly.     • Great mid-level controller, could use app updates
The SpiderFarmer GGS Smart Controller is a great environmental controller. The overall build quality is excellent and feels very premium. The initial setup and pairing with the SpiderFarmer app were straightforward and easy to follow. The controller and temperature probe hold their calibration well. The only reason it is not a five-star rating is that the app is not very intuitive, and thus I cannot change from Celsius to Fahrenheit, and it can only be paired with one device, even with the same account (couldn't get it on my iPad and phone). Purchaed a full 2.4 tent April 2025 for $500 and was sent a kit with wrong controller and vent fan with no speed controller I had to mess around with for two months and pay return shipping and provide tracking before sending the right one. I then ordered and AC5 and Autowater kit that the autowater float arrived broken and I had to email service/support and wait yet again to be replaced then to have a month without issues before being prompted to update firmware on my GGS Controller and AC5 just to lose access to the ac5 through the GGS controller for two months before they informed me they added an additional device screen after I replaced both my ac5 and ggs controller multiple times. Now the SF2000evo which is less powerful and has less leds than my friend Gen1 Sf2000 will not go above 10-15% brightness. To say this brand is unreliable is an understatement as cobbled together garbage would be more reliable... ... show more

    • Not Spider’s Best: A Means to an End
Kinda clunky setup, but it’s a means to an end purchase. You want access to the app and Spider makes you buy this to get to that. I just wish “this” was more elegant from an engineering and ergonomics perspective. I frankly only use the app.
