I was looking for a speed loader that works with MP5 magazine. There aren't that many out there unfortunately. I am glad I have found this however. I just tested it and it works great loading all 30 rounds effortlessly into the mag. I may end up getting one for other type of magazine. It is made mainly out of plastic, but looks sturdy enough, only time will tell how long this thing will last. There is a lock mechanism for the magazine while you are loading and a button to release it from the loader. The only thing I wish it has is a spring to return the loading actuator. As it is, you will need to move it with your own power to open and close the actuator. Overall, I am glad to have this at the range day, save me time and my fingers, as those MP5 magazine can be sharp at the loading lip. ... show more
