These are great binoculars for my kid. We take them hiking and with how compact they are, he is able to carry and use them on his own. The magnification is great for bird watching or looking at far away options when trekking at higher altitudes. The rubber design helps with protecting the binoculars and I've found them to be very durable, despite multiple drops. They fit easily into a backpack and we've gotten a lot of use out of them.
