The media could not be loaded. The intake came in with everything it said and the install was pretty easy if you have basic car knowledge. It sounds great. The only flaw is the clamps it comes with are cheap. The intake kept falling off after install but after changing the clamps that were holding everything together it hasn't fallen off since. Besides the clamps that required a run to the local hardware store everything else is perfect! I love the product. Just buy new clamps for everything. For the price it's probably one of the best bang for your buck cold air intakes on the market. It's not noticable during normal driving, but kick it down and there is a nice growl that wasn't there with the stock intake. I did three O-60 trial runs with stock intake then 3 runs with the Spectre CAI and dropped .5 second. A half a second is not bad IMO. Installation was a little head scratcher at first because Dodge moved the transmission air breather supply from the stock air box on the left side to near the throttle body intake which is located on the right side of the engine compartment. The 1/2" black heater hose Spectre supplied is too short so a trip to my local hardware store, plus buying a few barbed fittings to help bring the hose around to the back of the engine bay and route it to the left side of the intake tube and I was all set. Tip:. Ditch the el cheapo geared hose clamps supplied with the kit and purchase some good quality clamps. The clamps Spectre included are garbage. Period. I'm giving this set up a 4 star rating due to the cheesy hardware which required me to make a trip to the hardware store and for the out dated instructions. Other than that, the installation was straight forward and I get a nice growl from my intake plus a bump in performance. If you're looking to save some money on a CAI, the Spectre is worth looking into. ... show more

For the money this intake is great, adds a bit of throttle response, it doesn't break the bank and it sounds very nice around 2k+ RPMs but there is one major fatal flaw that I read about in other reviews before buying and sure enough after a short time of use it happened to me as well. The actual filter will literally just pop off of the plastic piece it's secured to no matter how tight you clamp it down. This requires some additional modification on the consumers end to make sure that filter does not come off. But other than that I'm impressed that the whole unit is high quality materials (except of course that one plastic piece) it's all metal and rubber with metal hose clamps. The instructions are terrible just some black and white images and I couldn't find anything online but it's not impossible to install. It has a cutout for the IAT sensor so you won't get any engine codes. I also installed this on a 2020 charger which is slightly different than the older 3.6 engines but it's still possible (pictures shown) only difference seems to be that the breather hose is on the left not the right so you will need to re-route it on a newer 3.6. Overall impressed but because of that one major flaw and how badly that could affect an engine if not addressed immediately I feel it doesent deserve a full 5 stars. Lastly this filter claims it is 50 state legal. But I was unable to find a CARB OE # anywhere so here in california I don't think this intake will fly on a smog check.     • Easy install, minor adjustments
Easy install. I had to sand down the connection on the filter and the piece it sits on just like everyone else, also the metal piece that the tube from the back of your engine connects to. After doing this neither has fallen off since, super easy and quick fix. The metal bracket that hold the rubber pice had to be slightly bended too in order to stay on without coming off. After that easy slight adjustment I’ve had no issues. Definitely worth the price even with the minor adjustments ... show more

For 2022 Charger, flip straight section of pipe around. Use alcohol to wipe oil from inner flange of filter so it doesn't slip off. May consider gold wrap to keep intake cool.

    • Not worth the money.
Prepare to spend $50 on clamps, and put your engineering skills to work. Filter falls off even with new clamps. There’s a small smooth lip that doesn’t even hold the air filter to the pipe adapter. It’s just not worth the headache. Go straight for the k&n.
