Description

Spectre air intake systems are designed to increase horsepower and torque in your vehicle, while also working to protect your engine from harmful contaminants and debris. Each air intake system comes with a washable, reusable, low-restriction Spectre air filter, a polished aluminum intake tube, and a black powder-coated heat shield. Spectre air intake kits include the necessary rubber boots, velocity stack, stainless steel clamps, and all necessary hardware for an OE fit and finish. For the money this is a decent intake to add, great for sound and performance, and pleasing to look at. Installation is a challenge but manageable, however, the instructions provided are absolutely junk. If you are mechanically inclined and handy under the hood you should be able to figure it out. I'm quite handy and it took me a few minutes to figure out the heat shield placement. You can benefit from adding your own secondary bracket to stabilize the heat shield as I'm planning to do very soon. I will update the review and add some pictures when I do. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I got this intake it’s very good, it actually added a little more sound to the exhaust assuming because it’s not a box filter. But it sounds great you get that satisfying sound it gave my car a tad more power BUT I would recommend checking to see if the screws on your cars MAFS fit the threads on the specter mount for it, I just found some laying around but otherwise it’s really good and I’m satisfied ... show more

The instructions were fairly poor, being hard to see the illustrations. The bracket that bolts to the motor mount bolt was bent differently than pictured in the instructions and this caused issues. It should be bent as per the instructions. We modified it to fit correctly. This is a cheap intake and you get what you pay for. It does work and you do get the great turbo sounds! But save up for the ZZPERFORMANCE one. I wish I had. I bought a reducer to replace the stock one at the turbo, as you reuse the stock one. ... show more

Tremendous change in sound was my first impression, once that fun tidbit wore off the more critical side of me took notes of some other stuff -Pros- Sounds great 1 mpg better (possibly) Most parts work as advertised -Cons- T bolt clamps leave alot to be desired..they suck. There is no beads on aluminum pipe to help hold it under high boost (works fine though I guess) Heat shield is next to worthless and flimsy Overall if you want to hear your turbo and diverter valve and aren't a stickler for having the best of the best parts then it is easily worth the money and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again. The only main concern is the cheap as S**T, T bolt clamps. ... show more

It definitely works for a warm air intake... it’s not as well made as the K&N version but it’s a lot cheaper then the K&N also! The pipe that goes from the air cleaner to the turbo intake elbow could be an inch longer and fix a lot of struggles getting it to fit. The part that blocks engine heat getting to it could be bigger but with some basic materials you can really improve on the design. It added noticeably hp, on an untuned Cruze they say about 10-12hp and about 5-6 hp on a tuned car. It definitely lets you head the turbo spool up and blow off. ZZP Performance has a much better one for a little over $200 but they have been out of stock on it. All in all it’s a good product at a fair price. ... show more

This product deserves negative stars. The product was listed as fitting my specific vehicle. I spent two hours attempting to use the horrible blotchy, black and white pics they call instructions to install this and found that it didn’t fit. I tried using faucet washers to snug the screw, tried several configurations, and the air tube wasn’t long enough to reach its connection. ... show more
