  • I really wish I had put this in years ago.
I'm in love with my Titan again... okay, we'll.. I never fell out of love with it.. but the engine growl at about 2k-3k RPM is nothing short of beastly. I love it! Have driven about 5k miles with this aftermarket intake have and noted fuel efficiency did improve by at least 1.5 MPG on road trips... goes down in the city when I'm heavy on the accelerator because the sound is soooo sexy. I do lose a couple MPG when I'm growling with the big boys, but for the grin on my face, SO worth it. I've spent way more money for way less enjoyment over the years. Love it love it love it... Easy and straight forward to install. Definitely check out the install video on the ewe-toob, it's a very helpful supplement to the instruction pamphlet. ... show more

  • Easy gains
The media could not be loaded. This intake took about an hour to install on my Armada. The kit includes everything, and it's easy to install. No fitment issues whatsoever. I did deduct one star for the instructions being in black and white. But, the photos are not very useful at all. However there is a great installation video on YouTube, as has been pointed out. Also, some hose clamps for the two smaller hoses would be nice. I re-used the two stock clamps, seen in the video on the two smaller air hoses. The hoses are included, but NO clamps for them. They do fit securely and are the proper length. I had a question about the ECU, and tech support picked up the phone right away. I spoke to a very friendly and helpful tech. It seems Spectre and K&N products are so similar they use the same tech support personnel. My question was about needing to have the ECU reprogrammed after install, which you do not. Make sure you don't skip disconnecting the battery for the duration of the installation. I was told that this clears the ECU, which then re-learns the data after you reconnect the battery and start the engine. The video shows the installed intake. I have a Flowmaster 40 exhaust on the truck, and this Spectre intake. I definitely gained a few horsepower, and the sound is also improved, on top of what the Flowmaster already gave me. I can feel the difference in low end torque and acceleration. No engine codes or blinking lights after installation. ... show more

  • 2014 Nissan Titan
Looks clean, installation not as easy as advertised. Instruction could have been a slight bit clearer, the pictures of processes serve no purpose because poor picture quality. Overall looks great, fits almost too perfect, Good performance.

  • Easy to install and looks awesome
I was skeptical at first ordering this kit for my Titan. There are so many companies selling this style cold air intake out there. Some are almost double and some are less. i have to say this kit is awesome so far. It came packaged nicely so there was no scratches or dings. The instructions are super easy. This kit is so complete as well. It comes with all new hardware for every bolt your remove including the MAF sensor bolts. All the hose clamps you need, a zip tie to tie up the front differential breather tube, and it even comes with two brand new crank case breather tubes. Now this I am only speaking for the TItan kit, some vehicles may not have breathers set up this way. None the less, this was a simple clean install. I did this in 40 mins start to driving. I can't say if it gets better mileage yet since I just finished. I will find that out this next week driving to work. Although it is only sound, I REALLY love the wide open throttle sound it now has. Without the big clunky stock air box and it's built in baffles and such, this thing breaths better I am sure. More power? Meh I can't tell just yet. Maybe when I am towing my camper I might see a difference. The install looks awesome with the satin finished tubing and the open air cleaner. I would highly recommend this kit to anyone. • Great product at a great cost.
Intake was fairly easy to install. May have taken a bit longer for me as I was doing a lot of housekeeping while I was removing the old intake before putting the new in. Sounds is just awesome. I have had some issues with the filter pooping off like some of the other comments. Until I get around to getting a different filter, I just putt a few drops of super glue around the ID then clamped it on. Easy enough to scrape off down the road. Intake really woke the truck up though. ... show more

  • Might go back to OEM intake
I like this aftermarket intake because of the throttle response and roaring noise for the engine. But the only downfall of this product is the cheap rubber boots and cheap aftermarket intake. Mine it customer made with a paper filter. Besides that all that the aluminum intake suck up allllll the heat the engine way causing my intake temp to rise to the moon. Even after adding padding it still didn’t help with the temp or performance. I would just mod your stock air box to take in colder air and have less heat soak for the engine bay. ... show more
