It didn't fit perfect but once we were able to MAKE it fit ...
It took a little strength and adjustment to install. It didn't fit perfect but once we were able to MAKE it fit we love it!

Much much better value and OEM look
I made sure to read the reviews about installation. Between the review instructions and the brief instructions included, I was able to install this first try without any issues. Just take your time, lay everything out, and don't get in a hurry or try to cut corners. It is an EXACT fit, so leave everything loose until all the screws are threaded. Then tighten them down. Much much better value and OEM look than an aftermarket or spending ridiculous amounts of money on the Honda brand version. ... show more

Worth the money but realize all your in for with installation and quality.
This product is alright and will serve its purpose. There lots of short reviews and I did a lot of reading before making the purchase. There are things people should know about these so they can clearly know what they are getting themselves into. First....Good Packaging and all parts where there. Installing is a big pain and does not go smoothly. Everyone's technical level for DIY and Installations is different so you never know if what one person complains "being difficult" is legit or they are just not smart or install savy... I am very handy and very detail oriented and usually have no issues with installations or assembly. I also have the proper tools. Part of the issue is this is cheaper chinese quality. Clearly the price reflex that it will not be high end stuff. Because it is not high end there can be lots of tolerances that are off. Some rubber and molded plastic pieces can be a little off. Getting everything aligned so that the threaded allen nuts can go on the factory bolts is nearly impossible. There is not enough room for everything inside the hole and it does not align up properly. There are 8 nuts you have to get on. Out of 8 only 1 went on easy and the way it should. Having a second person will help. They will be able to bend and keep pressure on the rails as you tighten everything up. Do yourself a favor and get a drill or compact impact so that you can also put pressure on the plastic while the bolts grab threads. I ended up having to drill out the holes a little bigger to allow the shaft to go round threads properly. It took over 2 hours to install and really should have been a 20 minute job. There are parts that are marked L and R.....make sure you are aware of this before trying to fit everything together. Be careful...they can slide on the roof and cause scratches during installation. I also noticed that one rail has a big arc to it and one is pretty flat. It looks off when on the roof. Again the low price point should make you aware these are not meant to be high end. Are they worth the price and aggravation of installation.......YES ... show more

Some tips for install.
Fit my 2011 CRV perfectly. Instructions were easy to follow; the system isn't complex. I'm fairly advanced with mechanics so I can't say if install was easy. Only tricky part was removing the factory paint from the mounting bolts in the car. Lubing those threads with silicone helped a lot, too. They bind. I actually like the binding 'cuz it makes them less likely to vibrate loose. Also, go forward and backward with the "nuts". (The nuts are female threaded flanges, more than nuts.) That backing-off motion helps shed the bolt paint as you go. Also, I had to carve out the extra globs of factory caulk that didn't allow the new mounts to fully recess. Some of the other reviews must be from a different product. My product had instructions and fit perfectly. ... show more

They work pretty well. Assembly is not that hard
They work pretty well. Assembly is not that hard. It did come with some instructions (unlike some other rails I tried out), however they were low quality. One step didn't even pertain to this product at all. One thing you'll want to look out for, one rail is longer than the other I believe. That is the front rail. That is not mentioned in the instructions and could be confusing. I had some trouble actually getting the racks mounted to our CR-V. The assembled item seemed slightly too long. So I had to put some muscle into bending and torquing it onto the mounting studs, otherwise I couldn't get the nuts threaded. Once those were threaded, tightening them made the racks go better into place. Once I had them mounted I put a set of kayak J mounts on them, which because of my improper (I think) assembly allowed them to slide back and forth on the racks. This caused the paint on the racks to peel off in some spots. Overall not bad for the price, expect some minor frustrations. ... show more

READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE BUYING - Covers don't stay on the roof rack..bigger deal than you think!
I like the roof rack but I have to give a 1 star review until the seller can sent me roof rack covers that fit AND stay on the roof rack when driving. There are many issues if you don't have the covers on / stay on: - The roof rack looks extremely silly without the covers - It is open to weather so you will get rain into the inside of your car through the holes and get damages - There will be rust if it exposed to the elements with no cover - The roof rack makes extremely loud and disturbing noise without a cover when driving, especially the highway - It is not efficient for the car nor the environment as it breaks up the windstream when driving. I'm asking the seller here and through private feedback to send me replacement covers that fit on the car in each of the 4 points of entry of the roof rack. Also, I need a new screw as one of the screws were not threaded properly. This is a big deal believe it or not b/c if you don't have the covers (and all screws in) on then the roof rack will basically break apart within a year and all the money you saved going "cheaper" is a waste of money b/c you will have to go out and buy a quality roof rack. I'm keeping this review up at 1star and all the details until I hear back from the seller. If I don't make an update to this that means the Seller hasn't replied to me due to poor customer service or hasn't mediated the lack of engineering on the roof rack caps. Regardless, if you're reading this DON'T BUY THIS ROOF RACK UNTIL YOU SEE HOW THEY TREAT DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS. In the end, I will be sending this back for full refund and will demand they pay for shipping if this is not fixed. Thank you - I will post pictures asap! ... show more
