I live in an over 20 year old, poorly insulated, double wide mobile home. The central heat and air has been removed due to theft issues while I had lived away for five years. Upon my return I did not have the funds to invest to have it reinstalled. Therefore I heat and cool my home with window air conditioning units and space heaters. Initially I bought some relatively inexpensive oil heaters from Walmart after finding that ceramic type heaters just we're not going to do the job. The oil heaters I purchased, although although having a thermostat have no reading that I could measure like 68° 70° excetera. I have found that the oil heaters work the best! They warm up large areas and keep everything nice and toasty even in low 20 degree temperatures. The lowest I have experienced thus far. Once again all these inexpensive oil heaters had was a setting of 1,2, and 3 being low, medium and high and then another dial that you can hear the thermostat click really has only one mode from nothing to kind of halfway. Although efficient in heating, my electric bills with the lack of insulation and not being able to set a temperature that could be regulated, were often off-the-charts! Sometimes nearing $400 in one month. This year I decided to invest a little bit of money and get an oil heater that was digital and that had a thermostat and a control that allows you to set the temperature and hopefully maintain a set temperature as opposed to just letting the thing run wild. I found these heaters on Amazon and saw all the reviews and immediately ordered two units. The units just arrived today and I immediately assembled them and read the instruction book, plugged them in and within moments immediate heat. All of the functions work as they should. The wheels roll freely. The package and the design of the unit is quite attractive. The casing seems durable and sturdy. The remote works quite well and from a good distance too. I actually needed to order three of these units and I'm getting ready to make another purchase as I write this review! Although my experience is minimal, these units appear to be well made and function as they should. They are attractive. The units come packaged well but Amazon shippers could do a better job of packing the units in the outer boxing as "handlers" are often rough and careless. One of my units was even put into the box upside down to begin with which was a little unsettling. Thankfully it appears to be working without any issues. I would recommend these heaters without reservation.

PICTURED: The heater set to 60 degrees in an outdoor observatory. I needed a small heater that packed a big punch for my outdoor observatory. Because the observatory is built on a wooden deck covered with rubber the heater needed to be powerful AND safe. After using this heater for just a few days I can already tell it fits all my needs. The outdoor air temperature is currently 30 degrees and the heater has been holding my observatory at 60 degrees easily in ECO mode. Anytime the ambient temperature drops below the temperature I set it will automatically turn on which saves me the hassle of tinkering with it. The controller is powerful enough to penetrate the observatory walls so I can simply click and point to adjust the temperature, mode, or power if needed. Because the oil is completely contained, there is no risk of direct contact with the ground. If the unit gets above 120 degrees F it will automatically turn off to prevent damage to the unit and any surroundings. On top of all the power and safety features this thing is quiet as a mouse. The large digital screen on the front allows me to take a quick look and know everything is working as intended. I'm currently viewing it through my security camera in the observatory and I can see everything clear as day. If this thing can heat an outdoor observatory in late December just imagine what it can do for an indoor room! The unit is light enough to carry around with ease even without the wheels which only takes a minute to screw on. All of the hardware to get the wheels on comes in one small plastic baggy and requires no tools. The instruction manual explains the heater's operations and controller well, but it's intuitive to use without instructions. All in all this thing is a workhorse and at just $90 you can't beat the price for the power, safety features, and energy savings it produces.
