Here in Texas, I found that I can't buy really good sourdough bread. So we figured we'd go all DIY. We broke into our kit upon arrival and started following the (straightforward to understand) directions. On our first attempt, we made some amazing sourdough, which looked and tasted like pros did it. I compared about 6 or 7 kits on Amazon before I picked this one and I'm really glad to have this exact set of tools.

This was amazing!! I could not rush home soon enough once my package was delivered to make some breads. Had my starter out on the counter the day before just so I could be ready. As someone who started to dabble with sourdough in the last year, I lacked most of the tools and gadgets that one should have. Well order this and you’ll be well on your way to being a pro!! I have reviewed kits like this before. A lot of them include unnecessary or excessive gadgets. This kit is complete and reasonable. The jar is my favorite, and the elastic band that helps you measure growth is nice. I love the linen jar cover. The accessories are all useful and have their place, and some have multiple uses. The jar scraper is wonderful and can be used for jams and peanut butter. Silicone drop mats are an interesting idea, but I am still skeptical. Their temperature tolerances are put to the limit with the high initial temps of bread baking, so I worry about that. All good so far, though. I wish the bowl scraper was rounded, instead of straight. The bread bag is nice, but let's be honest, we all know it will end up as a storage bag for the accessories. I am not sure if the temperature strip on the jar is reading the temps effectively. More testing is required. Overall, this is a great kit. The price is fair and saves you money from having to buy each accessory on its own. The jar is my favorite item.
