The baskets themselves are good quality. The fabric inserts are looser weave than anticipated and not as good as the fabric on French or German made bannetons. Sturdy enough. Some gap areas, but not a problem. No noticeable splinters. A fair size for loaves I made. Used the fabric covers which when well floured worked well. Hand wash covers only. Did not need to wash baskets. Now I just need to get better at baking bread!

The media could not be loaded. 5" Batard Banneton Baskets- arrived on time, they had no unpleasant smell and I used them immediately. Both the baskets and liners were well made and the sizes all uniform. The Liner fabric thickness is comparable to a kitchen tea towel. Floured well, sourdough loaves released easily. In the photo, loaves look a little more Boule than Batard, but that's just how they spread... More my not stitching the dough tight enough, and not any failure of the basket. This loaf size is great for a very generous individual serving or better split with a friend! Lovely gift size loaves!
