The media could not be loaded. It's actually a pretty good reel. With a small modification, the reel can be casted. I have it currently spooled with 120lb 8 strand braid on a 8ft heavy casting rod. Looking forward to seeing what that drag can do.

Just got it delivered & right away I noticed an extreme amount of play in the spool??? Not sure what that's all about? Made an adjustment on the spool & loaded it with Berkley Trilene Big Game 25lb test mono & wanted to make sure the drag is on point. Loading the reel with line helped with the spool play. After making several adjustments to the drag it seems to be working however, after reading all the horrible reviews about this particular reel. I'm gonna have to give it time before I go & make a final say. I also noticed that all/every 1 of the phillips head screws both sides of the casings were somewhat loose??? I might add some thread loc in hopes this will suffice the problem? This reel just feels cheap to me. I now have my doubts cause almost every review was scary to say the least. Hopefully I won't have to return it & give it a bad review myself. Only time & use will tell. Keeping my fingers crossed on this 1. Ok had to return this 1 & asked to have my card refunded. They actually sent out another ! & it was used??? ... show more

When you try and cast the reel handle spins and will lock your spool and won't free spool Needs an better design like a handle lock or something to keep handle from spinning around and lock the spool
