Features 4
- HaganeBody - The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body stiffness and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the angler's actions directly into cranking power. Iy'ss efficiency through strength.
- SVS Infinity - Shimano's newest innovation in brake system technology, SVS Infinity provides easy-to-manage, consistent spool control and brake force. With weights that use inner friction against the raceway during the cast, SVS Infinity controls spool speed for precision casting especially when using lighter lures. The external adjustment knob provides for quick, precise adjustments for either the conditions or when you switch baits
- S3D Spool - This technology leads to reduced spool vibration. By designing a balanced and uniform thin wall aluminum constructed spool, S3D creates an incredibly smooth feel casting and retrieveing lures
- Super Free Spool - Was designed to eliminate friction on the spool shaft during the cast. In standard baitcasting reels, hen the clutch bar is pressed down, the pinion gear is freed and actually can drag on the spool shaft creating friction that can limit the length of the length of the cast. With Super Free, the pinion gear is supported by a ball bearing so that when the clutch is disengaged for a cast, the pinion gear and spool shaft are kept in perfect alignment.
Description
The SLX DC is designed for effortless casting, in any conditions. Constructed on the same compact, rigid and versatile platform as the popular SLX bait reel. And with the addition of Shimano's unique DC braking technology, the SLX DC does not put any compromise on throwing performance. The DC braking system means that this reel has brains! The DC system calculates the appropriate braking force 1000 times per second. This prevents backlash and at the same time optimizes the distance and accuracy of the cast. It makes fishing with a baitcasting reel very easy and effortless. No need to change the settings of the reel when the weather or lure changes. The DC system will do this for you! This results for more efficient fishing time and better focus for the angler. And the best news for the anglers is this: with the SLX DC this technology is available for an unbelievable low price.

Excellent Reel
Size: Gear Ratio: 7.2:1 | Size: 150 Right
Love this reel. Smooth casting, no backlash, great for skipping, overall amazing baitcaster. My only complaint could be the price tag, but your paying for a quality product.

Fantastic reel!
Size: Gear Ratio: 7.2:1 | Size: 150 Right
Fantastic reel. There are 4 friction settings. 1 for expert to 4 for beginners. At 2 it will not backlash, even against the wind with a light weight worm, and no thumb required till it hits the water. Best bait caster i've ever owned.

Great performance...
Size: Gear Ratio: 7.2:1 | Size: 150 Right
I have a couple of these reels and they perform great. They cast consistently and smoothly. The only downside is the price but for a DC reel, the price isn't out of line.

A great reel
Size: Gear Ratio: 7.2:1 | Size: 150 Right
It’s a great reel, this was my first bait caster and was real easy to use and I haven’t had a problem with for right now

Probably the best reel for the money you can get
Size: Gear Ratio: 7.2:1 | Size: 150 Right
It's awesome. It makes a funny sound when you cast it but you get used to it. The DC really helps with backlashes in the wind. You still want to use your thumb most of the time but it will cast a light lure a long way and a heavy lure a really long way. Great reel

A must for those that have trouble with bait casters.
Size: Gear Ratio: 7.2:1 | Size: 150 Right
I bought this for my son and dad to use as they have problems with constant backlashes. Once i set it up with the brake just right for the lure i was trying it with my son never backlashed his first time using it. For someone that can throw a bait caster its not really needed but i will say i can skip a bait as good as anyone with it when setting is on 4 on the brake. Highly recommend.
